Before I share - here’s a disclaimer. I’m a big fan of Tunde’s work, and I think he’s among the best of us, humans. Having said that, my thought is simple. 1. If your goal is to feed 5000 people, then you shouldn’t be seen frolicking with people who empty the collective food stores at night. Why? Simple. Your intentions might be pure, but your association can undermine your cause and credibility. That’s the origin of the issue here. 2. Anyone building anything public, particularly people who play a role in a sector like Tunde’s, will always be held to a moral standard. They’ll always be expected to be “model citizens”, and will, often, be criticized. Not because of who they are, but because of what they represent. For example, if I teach JAMB lesson at a local tutorial in my village, people would naturally expect me to uphold a level of “responsibility in conduct”. You see, that expectation isn’t because of me. It comes with the role. People expecting him to not have ties to the clearly wicked leadership in Nigeria isn’t a coming from a place of witch-hunt, envy, or tribal. It’s a call-to-responsibility. 3. For what it’s worth, I don’t exactly think Tunde has strong ties to the APC. 4. My stance on PO has been clear. You can’t change a nation or a system if you can’t access the seat to change it from. If you need to make unholy alliances to get there, then, so be it. It’s the same stance I had about Seyi Makinde contesting under ANPP and SDP. He needed to cross to PDP and make the alliances to get him here. Today, we are all glad he did. C’est fini.

The Independent National Electoral Commission still hasn’t answered a basic question: how were its chair’s email & phone linked to an account they now deny? Public trust is non-negotiable. Nigerians deserve clear evidence—not vague statements. Strengthen accountability or step aside. Democracy depends on it.
