Right okay… This is a BIG IF but IF Southampton do get done for their ‘spygate scandal’ and actually kicked out the playoffs, do Hull just go to the Premier League or do Boro take their place?

@marktilbury The UK rewards laziness with benefits then heavily taxes people who actually contribute and do well meaning there’s not much point. It’s not rocket science

A reminder of how Labour is spending your money abroad: - £235m Ukraine - £225m Ethiopia - £171m Afghanistan - £145m Syria - £144m Yemen - £80m Kenya - £68m Jordan - £65m Myanmar - £62m Bangladesh - £143m Somalia - £60m Nepal - £270m Sudan - £56m Lebanon - £56m Tanzania - £50m Malawi - £130m Palestine - £117m Nigeria - £107m Congo - £310m World Health Organisation A Grand total of £2.5billion. £2.5 billion which invariably finds itself in the pockets of corrupt politicians.

I assume you have not moved to Dubai yet, I guess your work of being negative about the UK at every opportunity is not completed yet. Your post highlights that you do not really know how UK public spending works. Taxes are not paid into separate pots that belong to one individual taxpayer. They go into a single pool which funds the services and obligations of the state as a whole. For example, the suggestion that someone pays 21.6% of their tax specifically for welfare does not mean that portion is funding “welfare they do not need”. A large part of that spending goes on state pensions, disability support, carers’ support and help for people in work on low incomes. The claim about 20.2% for health “you cannot use” is also a misunderstanding. The NHS is not a subscription service. It is an insurance system for the whole population. You may use very little of it in your twenties or thirties, but people tend to rely on it heavily later in life. Similarly, the suggestion that you are paying 11.4% for a pension you will never receive is speculation. The UK state pension is funded on a pay-as-you-go basis and every generation has made the same claim about the one that follows. Debt interest is also not “loans that are not yours”. It is the cost of borrowing accumulated over decades by governments of all parties, covering everything from infrastructure to crisis support during recessions and the pandemic. It is perfectly reasonable to argue for a smaller state, lower taxes, or a different spending balance. Those are legitimate political views. But presenting the structure of public spending as though each taxpayer is personally funding things they will never benefit from is not how modern public finance works. You have no understanding of society.

So let me get this straight… I paid 21.6% tax on welfare I don’t need I paid 20.2% tax on Health I can’t use  I pay 11.4% on state pensions I won’t  get I pay 11.1% on debt interest on loans that aren’t mine Welcome to socialism in the UK

@james_con12 @HondaRacingF1 Honda withdrew from f1 in 2021. RBPTs built the engine that won the world title. That engine is now a ford. Honda had no part in 21-24

@HondaRacingF1 You guys need to withdraw from the sport effective immediately. Save what little reputation you have for your brand. Stick to dirt bikes, Jett and Hunter are killing it over there. F1 is not CLEARLY not for you.

The average millionaire generates over £75k a year in taxes  The average immigrant costs £44k a year  A millionaire leaves the UK every 30 minutes  While a non working, non earning immigrant enters the UK every ONE minute  How can this go on?

My Dad is 70 in December so as a family we bought him a new Range Rover that we are collecting now. Look at this for build quality - I mean it beggars belief! I wouldn’t mind too much if it was for me, but he’s had a bad health year and this was meant to be a special day.

Let me get this straight, someone on ave. salary £35k a year, WORKING, will now be £1,400 worse off after the budget  BUT someone with 5 kids on benefits NOT working will be £10,000 better off This is becoming a disgrace. Rewarded for not working, PUNISHED for working
