@July_Mueller @james_con12 @HondaRacingF1 No they didn't, they built the 21 engine and left. RBPTs did all the dev work after that. A group of 20ish people from HRC. Red Bull owns all the innovations made from that point forward. The HRC staff that was helping RBPTs they all work for ford now.

@AFollette76498 @james_con12 @HondaRacingF1 Wrong that was the Honda engine, it was designed and developed by Honda after it was homologated in 2021 after Honda announced its withdrawal they just built the fully developed engine and maintained it at the track so it was still a Honda engine.

@xaviation Yes, it’s a ram turbine, it is used on some, not all commercial planes when all other engines die mid flight. it creates hydraulic pressure in I think 2 hydraulic systems to help controling the aircraft and it generates a bit of electricity to power the most important instruments
