In this Flash Talk, Ulrich Luecking, VP and Head of Chemistry at FoRx Therapeutics, explores the untapped potential of sulfoximines in modern drug discovery. He highlights several exciting development candidates on novel and established targets such as AZ's ATR inhibitor ceralasertib, Artios' ATR inhibitor ART0380, Tango's CoREST complex inhibitor TNG-260, and many more. Ulrich also showcases the use of sulfoximines beyond traditional small molecules and exemplifies innovative synthetic strategies for accessing them. A standout moment in the talk was the first time disclosure of FORX-1589, a covalent WRN inhibitor featuring a novel vinyl sulfoximine warhead.
