@RunloopDev This is a bit like kafka but much simpler. You don't need to worry about producer / consumer semantics or partition strategy. Also it cuts your costs because you can get the box to go to sleep when it's idle. ALSO it scales without you needing to do anything.

Not sure Javier Pastore needs to grant this interview. A two-match ban isn't that severe, and Enzo was not going to play in one of them even before the sanction. This interview feels like they are challenging Chelsea’s authority. He's creating more unnecessary drama. Should've let it go. I feel he saw the perfect opportunity to tell the world that Enzo could be available in the summer if Chelsea don't pay what they want.

I propose a new benchmark for sandbox providers: If CC or Codex was able to run it and integrate it by itself. Here are my results so far: 1. @Cloudflare : no 2. @modal : yes 3. @northflank : no 4. @flydotio Sprites: yes 5. @vercel : no 6. hopx: no

Prompts and vibes won't stop your agent from deleting your database. If you work in a highly regulated environment, compliance isn't a choice. Learn how to deploy trustless agents in Runloop, including full Deploy to VPC for the strongest security posture. Learn more: runloop.ai/blog/securing-…

I don't know who needs to hear it, but it's time to get rid of that obsolete cable you've been holding onto for years

@AliceFromQueens Jan 6th made it clear that he's never willingly giving up power once he gets it. I don't understand the fascination with what he says about future elections. Who cares what he says? What he did should tell you all you need to know

"Trump is so old he babbles incoherently like Biden lol... except when we find politically useful meaning in his babble, in which case he's a devilish genius at the height of his powers who is being confusing *on purpose.* He knows just what he's doing!"

@kelseyhightower I agree with your diagnosis of the problem (investment income disproportionately undertaxed relative to regular income), but this particular solution needs a bit of workshopping to avoid some unintended consequences.

@kelseyhightower Normally a cash distribution would be taxed as qualified dividends (equal to long term cap gains rate), but because taxes have already been paid via 83b, the appreciation skips right over to an increase in value without a tax event. Combined with stock loans, it's very efficient

@kelseyhightower Semi-related: a much bigger problem in the US tax code is stock buybacks. There is a tax incentive to buy back stock instead of paying out dividends; particularly for founders that have *already* paid tax using 83b election

@senatorshoshana a classic cs education starts off with learning one language pretty well (probably python3), then some data structures & algorithms. Almost any beginner book will be ok so long as you do the practice problems. If you don't try them, you won't make progress

I've given up on wanting to learn to code because AI writes such good code for me! But anyone have a good book or resource on how to think about using code and use cases for it? Like a multi-find and replace regex wasn't something I used to think about

@Blue_Footy Not fit enough to keep playing that kind of football for 2 hours. We were better in midfield but up front and at the back we were second best. More than anything, we sat back and lost the aggression we had at the end of the second half. Too little too late
