The real question is why change the IHT threshold now???? What’s changed since the budget? What else could be coming? Their motives scare me???

@herdyshepherd1 Some horrendous examples of down right dishonesty. It shouldn’t be happening and is wrong.

Hearing horrific tales about large landed estates more or less bullying and manipulating their tenants off farms There is a growing body of evidence, witnesses and potential whistleblowers to this behaviour

Just as a comparison, this cleanout by Brodie Retallick was a red card in a test match.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯@Vinsanity275

@JamieWall2 Retallick got sent off for a similar incident against Japan

@Seb_Parker Totally different. He led with his arm/shoulder to his head and the Scotland player wasn’t in a position to go for the ball

@TheFarmingForum @Minette_Batters @NFUtweets @SteveReedMP Doesn’t the farm business survey do this? It shows without support many will go struggle to run a viable business unless prices increase to replace it. They have increased, yes, but need to increase further. This will take time and some don’t have that!

@VictoriaAtkins For me the biggest issue at the moment isn’t the IHT it’s the removal of support and move to expecting a market that isn’t providing an adequate return to replace that income as well as expecting business people to plan cash flow with constant removal of schemes.

Great to be at Louth Livestock Market, which is such a pillar in our local community to hear ideas on building a bright future for our agriculture industry. It was clear from our discussion that this city-dwelling government is showing a blatant disregard for rural communities. If Labour cared about farmers, it would join me and axe the #FamilyFarmTax.

@CrosseMichael We did shed rearing on the ewe last year and I didn’t like it. Ewes didn’t keep condition, a lot of feed and seemed crazy keeping them in with grass growing outside. A lot of cross suckling as well when inside. Still finding what works 🙈

@jameshadwin I think it works best if you can keep ewe and lambs in shed, more controlled and ensures lambs eats concentrate. Cost wise as we now house the ewe’s anyway for winter, on good quality silage, the cost isn’t huge. Need >shed space. Artificial rearing to a minimum for us now

Doing things a little different this year. Lambs left on ewes on the herbal leys to rear lambs before milking. Cutting feed and labour costs . A much more enjoyable system, well in this weather at least 👍 #sheepmilk #sheepscheese

@CrosseMichael 👍 How long do you leave them on for with you? I’ve done various systems but matching grass growth here means we are late lambing and reducing lactation length. Taking them off is boom or bust surely letting them rear lambs is more resilient in the long term.
