@farmingandJesus The oafs who have been calling penitent Christian women nasty names reminds me of the self-righteous police inspector Javert from Les Miserables. The Javert mindset is self-righteous at its core and rejects any possibility of repentance and transformation.

@WhitlockJason My aunt (retired attorney) had the unfortunate experience of meeting Stephen A. She said he was a pompous jerk. I believe her.

I’ve never been in a room with Stephen A. where he wasn’t constantly talking. He’s a blowhard. He’s framed as a journalist but talks as if he’s a former athlete.

The backlash to @TrevorSheatz’s viral X post has been HUGE. Some people responded saying, "I can't believe you just called your wife a wh*re." He did not call his wife that. You called his wife that. You called another man's wife that. You called a new creation— someone redeemed by Christ, sanctified, made new, and washed clean— a wh*re. That is on you. Not her husband. The hyper patriarchy bros who call themselves Christians out there who just want to take any opportunity not only to denigrate women, but to denigrate the work of the Gospel… it's just insane. It's a very obvious tenet of Christianity that you have become a new creation. Somehow that’s now being treated like it’s controversial?

Since when do Christians NOT celebrate redemption and repentance? Some of the things I’ve seen this week are extremely disheartening. Throughout Scripture, we see God’s people redeemed and restored time and again: •David—adultery and murder. Forgiven (2 Samuel 12:13) •Thomas—doubt and unbelief. Restored (John 20:27–29) •Jonah—rebellion against God. Restored (Jonah 2:1–10) •Peter—denied Christ three times. Restored (John 21:15–17) •Zacchaeus—fraud and extortion. Saved (Luke 19:8–10) •Rahab—prostitution. Redeemed (Joshua 6:25; Hebrews 11:31) •Thief on the cross—criminal sin. Saved (Luke 23:42–43) •Woman caught in adultery—sexual immorality. Forgiven (John 8:10–11) •Paul—persecuted the church. Forgiven (1 Timothy 1:13–16) •Manasseh—idolatry and child sacrifice. Forgiven (2 Chronicles 33:12–13) Those are some pretty egregious sins, and yet we celebrate their testimonies. But when @TrevorSheatz shares the testimony of his wife, @AshleySheatz (who has her testimony pinned to her profile), professing Christians hurl insults and minimize the grace and love of our Savior. If you have a similar story and choose not to tell, that’s your prerogative. But this was their story and they’ve chosen to share what God has redeemed her from. It’s concerning to see people who speak of Christ’s grace, yet fail to reflect it in how they treat others.

The gospel message is hard for unregenerate minds because the sweet old lady who rejected Christ will go to hell and the serial killer who repents and believes will enter heaven because salvation depends on Christ alone. It’s a scandalous idea to the world and they will hate you for it.

A guy went viral yesterday for giving testimony about marrying a promiscuous woman. It was sweet. Kind of. The idea was spot on: God can change minds and hearts. Through Him, we can find salvation. That’s beautiful and true. But the post missed the mark in a BIG way that no one is talking about. Here’s the problem: a marriage is a sacred union between two people and God. Not a union between two people, God, and millions of people. In a marriage done right, you know things about your spouse that no one else does. You are your spouse’s vault—a secret keeper, a protector. You don’t out your spouse’s secrets. You don’t shame them publicly. You don’t put them in a position to be judged by strangers. Not even with the best of intentions. You protect their heart, their mind, and their reputation. And you do it with the same care that you protect your own—because the two of you are one. ❤️

Literally no one is making the argument that it’s wrong for men to desire sexual purity when seeking a wife. No one is making the argument that you must marry a woman with promiscuous past. The argument is that redemption is real and women with these pasts can be redeemed. That they can make good & godly wives by the power of the Holy Spirit. That they are not damaged goods. That is the argument being made.

I am tired. Tired of so called Christians acting like Christ’s redemption isn’t enough. Acting like we need to earn his forgiveness. Acting like his mercies aren’t new every morning. Acting like you’re better than someone just because you keep your sins hidden and they share how God radically saved them from their sin. Judging someone for sharing their testimony and how God saved them is so low and to say it simply - it doesn’t show the fruit of Christ in your life.

For a religion that obsesses over sin and works.. the ones who follow Romanism sure produce some of the nastiest fruit. They say hateful things, shame people endlessly and act like their rituals make them holy, but all it shows is how those religious acts don’t change the heart. Religion without true faith just multiplies pride, judgment, and cruelty. What they need is to be born again, not water poured over their head

People who know how depraved their own sin is don’t shame other redeemed sinners for the sins Christ already paid for.

@farmingandJesus 💯. Biblical and theological ignorance is a huge problem in the church today. I know that I am a vile wretch no better than the worst of sinners. Salvation is all of grace. Self-righteousness isn’t compatible with biblical Christianity.

When I posted the famous "Jezebel tweet," I received a huge amount of vile responses from left-wing godless liberals. But that didn't come close to the level and kind of vile responses I've received the last 3 days over the Rahab tweet. And all of it from professing Christians!

They had already allocated his organs. In 2015, Texas father George Pickering II refused to accept doctors’ declaration that his son was brain dead following a massive stroke. When hospital staff began withdrawing life support & had already contacted organ donation services. Pickering took a stand & barricaded himself inside the hospital room with a gun triggering a tense three-hour SWAT standoff. During negotiations, Pickering repeatedly insisted his son was still alive. Then came a moment that changed everything: on command, his son squeezed his hand, proving he was still responsive. Pickering eventually surrendered peacefully and spent nearly a year in jail for his actions. Against all expectations, his son survived and went on to recover. Why did he spend time in jail when he was just defending his son’s life. When you are an organ donor, they try to take you off life support pretty quickly.
