As a D2 player myself, D2 offered me to start on defense and long snapper, something I couldn’t have done at D1. The experience greatly helped in my growth and development to give me a shot at the NFL. Don’t overlook the D2 level because it isn’t D1.🤟

Long snappers, Be mindful of shoulder positioning and alignment. Oftentimes, snappers won’t recognize the imbalance and alignment of shoulders. In this instruction, we worked on getting balanced and getting rid of a dipped shoulder and high flexed shoulder. You don’t want to have a tight upper back and be relaxed thru your back, shoulders and arms. Staying loose is the key🤟

@CMontgomeryLS @DashrMPS @MattOverton_LS Alex Ward was one of the first to ever teach me in person while he was still at UCF. Gained a lot of knowledge from him and others on what to expect from camps in high school. They were all 100% correct.

@jameslyons_56 @DashrMPS @MattOverton_LS Nfl snapper james winchester hit a .82 and nfl alex ward hit a .84 i’ve not measured any hs guy faster than .92 in 10 years. as soon as the technology comes out. the camps shrink from 100s to a dozen or so….. transparency wins

Been using the @DashrMPS system to measure snap times for close to a decade now! had another snapper hit .95 and join the sub 1.0 club again. if you are trying to see where you really stand with your snapping ability hit up @MattOverton_LS or me for a session and get transparency

There are just over 800 college fball teams. on avg 1/4th will be graduating long LS or have injury retirements etc. That’s conservatively 200 spots, naia to d1. yet 300+ 4 ⭐️ long snappers on ranking boards?? it’s big business and they claim the top guys and repeat the $ grab.

Oregon State starting long snapper was injured last week and had a week to prepare with an OLB to be the snapper. It’s tough to watch all the bad snaps but I genuinely wonder how you don’t properly prepare for this adjustment. As a HC and ST coach, you have to have a legit reliable back up snapper on roster or utilize different formations to get a punt off. But no, they keep doing the same thing and get the same result.
