The Pontotoc County Youth Forestry Day was a success! 4-Hers and Envirothon contestants learned about wildlife, forest insects, forest diseases, tree identification, and sawmills.

Spring weather conditions have been perfect for brown spot needle blight and symptoms of the disease are becoming quite obvious now as infected needles begin to brown and drop from the tree. Symptoms often are more severe in the lower canopy where humidity is higher. #MSUext
