I’ve never had an agent, manager, or studio exec push back against so-called unfilmables and I use them all the time.

This. Some writers oppose the use of “unfilmables” — aka things that can’t be directly heard or seen — in your script. and it’s 100% subjective. But things like “Oh god I’m in space” put us directly into his head and let us FEEL what he’s feeling. love writing like this.

Just like paying for coach drivers when cars were invented, it will be a niche skill superseded by a new way to get outcomes.

@RivianTrackr Sadly, Rivian isn't showing love to Canada. First they pushed R2 deliveries back to 2027 for Canucks and now we are left off the tour. 😁 I was excited to see the early prototype when it was on tour but it was damaged and pulled from the tour before it came to Vancouver. 😢

@Charles_SoCal That's a lack of understanding what actually creates value for their product and profits for their business. Without creativity, there is no shareholder value.

@jamesvsimpson You are using the term Hollywood Execs without the caveat that they all work for publicly traded companies who’s only mandate is to increase shareholder value. Creativity is not a huge factor in that process.

The fact that Hollywood Executives keep falling for the same con that promises to eliminate creativity from filmmaking, speaks to how much they hate creatives and fundamentally don't understand the film business.
