British comedians mock President Trump's Easter message on #HIGNFY Chris McCausland, "Has there ever been a bigger u-turn than we're going to liberate the people of Iran from an oppressive regime, to, we're going to obliterate an entire civilisation" Ian Hislop, "On Easter day Trump compared himself to Jesus, and then let other people suggest he was the messiah" Chris McCausland, "How did he compare himself to Jesus?" Paul Merton, "Similar height" Ian Hislop, "Trump said they call Jesus a king, they call me a king. Well that's a nice Easter message" Paul Merton, "Perhaps we can keep the parallel going and crucify him"

This is Aita al-Shaab in South Lebanon. An ancient village that stood for over 2,000 years. Israel wiped it off the map. A war crime. A crime against history.

If you’re wondering how intense the bombing in Beirut was yesterday, then you need to watch this video. It documents the bombardment around the Indonesian Hospital in northern Gaza, near my family’s home in Nov 2023. This is what we call a “fire belt,” in Arabic, meaning relentless, consecutive strikes that feel like hell itself. I lived through this many times in Gaza before we left for Egypt. It feels like the end of the world, as if you’re standing in flames from every direction, with no escape and no way out. Don’t look away from this video. #Gaza #Lebanon #Beirut #Israël #Israel

There's a lot to process on Day 8 of the @NASAArtemis II mission. With Earth in view from Orion's windows, the astronauts are packing up and reflecting on their lunar journey.

@mynamesnotgordy One note: everybody knows that the new Ayatollah hates us even more since we killed his father, but it's always worth mentioning that we also killed his mother and his wife.

Horrifying scenes from Beirut #Lebanon today. Nearly 100 Israeli airstrikes in less than 10 minutes, in broad daylight, with rush hour traffic heard in background. At least 89 killed…

An old joke-like parable comes to mind: A woman felt that her life was very difficult. She went to a wise man for advice. He listened to her and said: “Buy a goat.” The woman bought a goat. But… her life didn’t become easier. On the contrary, it became even harder. Exhausted, she returned to the wise man. He told her: “Sell the goat.” She sold the goat. And… indeed, life suddenly felt easy. The woman was overjoyed and thanked the wise man.

Of course, not even a day has passed before 'based and trad' Russia once again ruined another historic Christian church in Ukraine with its bombing -- this time it's the 18th-century Greek-Sophia Church, the oldest in the city of Kherson. And of course, the Kremlin's bootlickers will once again prefer not to notice.
