I haven’t had my own classroom of students for 4 years. So, I took a summer job teaching and, bay 👏🏽 bee, it is FILLING my cup FULLY up. 😍 The babies are a little younger than my usual but it has been such a treat to teach these 3rd graders and to prepare them for 4th grade! 💛

My friend Elijah Davis spent 19 years in prison. When he was released, he dedicated himself to mastering photography and giving back to his community. He has done portraits for the WNBA, Faith Evans, and several other companies and celebrities. He is a powerful member of the city’s Trauma Informed Care Taskforce, and he teaches children photography for free. Elijah is a model of grace and redemption. He has seen the worst and best of Baltimore. We’ve spent countless hours together collaborating and dreaming about what our city could become if we all worked together. In 53 years on this earth, Elijah has never voted. He never believed that the political system could truly change lives. Elijah ended his speech with these words: “My first vote will be cast for my good friend, for the Change Agent, Zeke Cohen.”
