With deep humility I wish to confirm to the great people of Kenya that they have a chance to move away from status quo politics of insults and name-calling, to agenda-driven discourse and development. #CharacterMatters #NewKenya.

Happening Now : The Principal Secretary for Environment and Climate Change, @Eng_F_Ngeno, is participating in the inaugural Project Steering Committee meeting for the Transforming Livelihoods through Climate Resilient, Low-Carbon, Sustainable Agricultural Value Chains (TUNZA) project at a Nairobi hotel.
The meeting is chaired by the Cabinet Secretary for the @KeTreasury, @JohnMbadiN, and co-chaired by @KisumuCountyKE Governor, @AnyangNyongo. Key agenda items include reviewing the project’s governance structure, validating the inception report, assessing project milestones, and discussing the implementation work plan.
The TUNZA Project is a six-year, multi-million-dollar initiative supported by the @theGCF and jointly implemented by the @FAOKenya and the Government of Kenya. It aims to strengthen climate-resilient agriculture across 14 counties within the Lake Region Economic Block (LREB).
The project is expected to directly benefit 63,000 smallholder farmers and additional 80,000 benefiting from cooperatives. It focuses on transforming six priority value chains dairy, poultry, coffee, tea, fruit trees, and African leafy vegetables towards low-carbon, climate-resilient pathways through locally led approaches.
Ultimately, the initiative seeks to enhance food security, strengthen climate resilience, and promote sustainable, profitable agri-enterprises.
Also in attendance are Principal Secretary for Co-operatives, Mr. Patrick Kilemi; a representative from the Royal Danish Embassy, Mr. Denis Von Platen; and the FAO Representative in Kenya, Ms. Farayi Zimudzi, among other stakeholders. #TUNZA #FoodSecurity

The expose by @ntvkenya is chilling and horrendous on how 2007 General Presidential Elections was bungled that led to the loss of lives, destruction of property and almost the country went into civil war. The subversion of the will of the people is an international criminal offence that must be punished .
I challenge the investigative agencies to move with speed and investigate these crimes and prosecute the perpetrators because criminal offences does not have limitation of time. This is also to prevent future recurrence.
