@samo_skey Before y'all come up with tales by moonlight stories, remember some people and sleeping single and no light for Nigeria this night
English

My son refused to sleep in his room for three weeks.
Said there was a woman in his wardrobe.
I checked every night
Nothing.
Empty wardrobe.
Same clothes. Same smell. Same darkness.
I told him it was his imagination.
He said she only comes when the light is off.
I left the light on.
He slept.
Problem solved.
Or so I thought.
Last Friday the power went out at 2am.
Everywhere dark.
I heard my son scream.

My Husband brings 12 strangers for dinner every month, but I am forbidden from looking at their faces.
This month out of curiosity looked and saw….
When I married Chisom, I knew he was a sẽcrẽtivẽ man.
He was the kind of man who had three phones but only answered one in my presence 💔. He was the kind of man who would d!sappẽãr to attend a meeting in Ogun on Friday and return on Monday with a new Lexus for me, smělling of expensive cõlogne and anx!ety.
I didn't complãin. In this Lagos, as long as the money is flowing and he is not beãting you, you learn to manage.
But there was one rule I could not understand.
Every first Friday of the month Chisom hosts a Private Dinner in our main dining hall in Victoria island.
The rules are simple but tẽrrifying.
I must cook a feast. Fried rice, Afang soup, Goat meat, the best wines.
I must serve the food myselt. No house help is allowed near the main building that night.
I must keep my head bõwěd while serving. I must nẽver look at the taces of the guests 😭😭.

There's this sick update my uni roommate gave me about using DexScreener to find quick gigs. (not a lotta people do it)
That same night I locked in on it and got a job that offered to pay me $500/W.
[Less than 6 hours after he let me in on it.]
But I only got paid once cause the dev abandoned the project.
Some people have hacked this web3 gig thing😂

met this girl in a hotel lobby in Dubai who told me she "sends emails for a living"
figured she was a VA or ran some marketing agency
turns out she connects companies that buy and sell diesel. one introduction last month paid her $87,500. she's 23. zero connections in oil 11 months ago
i was like ok that sounds fake
she opened her laptop and walked me through the whole thing. honestly felt stupid for not knowing about it sooner
she's an oil broker. there are a few thousand people worldwide who do this full time. you connect a company that has fuel with a company that needs fuel, verify both sides are real, and collect $2.50-$10 per metric ton when the deal closes. on 25,000 MT that's $62,500-$250,000
the buyer needs more fuel every 6-8 weeks btw so you just broker it again. same people. same paperwork. compounds forever
i asked her how she actually got started with zero connections and she showed me her LinkedIn. this was the whole game for her:
Sales Navigator free trial. search these exact titles: "fuel procurement manager", "petroleum trading director", "bunker fuel purchasing", "diesel supply chain manager"
she filters by West Africa and Southeast Asia first. smaller ports in those regions can't handle supertankers so they need 10,000-25,000 MT cargos. smaller cargos = way easier first deal
her outreach message (she said this gets about 10-15% response rate):
"Hi [name], I work in physical fuel intermediation connecting verified suppliers with end-buyers in [their region]. Currently building relationships with procurement teams handling EN590 and Jet A1 requirements. Would be great to understand your supply needs. Happy to share market intelligence on current Platts differentials in your area."
5 of these per day. everything tracked in a Google Sheet. name, company, title, what they buy, how much, which port, did they respond
she said the key is don't pitch anyone. don't try to close anything early. just learn what they need. after a few conversations you know their buying patterns, volume requirements, pricing range. THAT knowledge is what makes you valuable when a matching opportunity shows up
she had 340 contacts after 4 months. about 40 were real decision makers. matched 3 with verified suppliers. one closed. $87,500
I probably shouldn't be sharing someone else's exact playbook but whatever. the info barrier in this industry is the only reason commissions are this high. 90% quit in the first 5-6 months because you make $0 while learning. that attrition IS the moat
one of the people i mentored entered their first deal negotiation within 5 weeks. not a realistic timeline for most and it hasn't closed yet but it's fucking impressive. most take 4-6 months
I teach you exactly how to broker $1,000,000+ oil deals and you get direct access to me between deals which is rare because i'm usually neck deep in paperwork.. Link in Bio...
