@DrGoblin3 I don’t think it’s legally required. If they are not, it could be a safeguarding issue, or it could be a lack of knowledge about how to do this / fear of the consequences (very common amongst asylum seekers who don’t realise we won’t tell the home office anything).

We are appalled that an Israeli airstrike last night killed at least 30 Palestinians, including children, who were sheltering in a post office. Nowhere is safe for families in Gaza. They need a ceasefire. They need the UK to suspend all arms sales to the Government of Israel.

@gardenrichard @DeanEggitt Yes - this is madness especially since the ICB funding is taken from the “primary care” pot which is invariably empty. It would be much better to use national funding stream but referrals are a waste of everyone’s time.

@DeanEggitt An interesting quirk is that if a patient walks off the street to Pharm First the funding comes from the ICB. There is national funding if the patient is referred by a GP practice.

@dr_musgrave I wish it were easier to access good palliative care for people with non cancer diagnoses. It’s just so tough. Patients with single or even multi organ failure are too complicated for our creaking NHS to cope with, it’s horrible to see patients being batted around.

I don’t believe the UK has the capacity to safely bring in assisted dying: Our healthcare system is under too much strain. It is (by design) discriminatory. A fundamental shift in how we treat elderly/ disabled. Impossible to prevent coercion. Financial incentives astronomical.

@dralisonj I did 7.30-1.30 without a break too and then I also came home and had a nap. Exhausting!

4.5 hours vaccinating this morning non stop with no break. Come home and just slept for 30 mins. Shattered and back killing me. Now to try and be productive
