Just left seeing Michael and there’s no doubt you could feel the music. Awesome theater experience. I just wish the movie spent more time exploring Michael Jackson’s creative process.

@BpopeTV #MichaelMovie definitely felt sanitized. I wasn’t looking for allegation coverage, but it would’ve been nice to see more about his life after he started writing and directing videos since that seemed to coincide with him finding his voice w Joe and pressing further into stardom.

Very few people are still in it for the love of the game. 20 years ago a ton of people worked in the industry because they LOVED that it was as close as you could get to that blurry line between art and commerce (other than Hollywood). Now you have people obsessing over metrics above all else. No heart for big ideas. No compass for how to integrate into culture. No real taste. A refusal for the analytics team to talk to the creative team. Just let the algorithm do the thinking for you. Lost culture.
