Back-to-back weeks of #MUFC summoning a winner after being pegged back. Says something to their resilience + creativity.
Top finish by Sesko, needed that after hitting post. Superb spin + hit.
Three wins in a row for Carrick, energy at final whistle each time.
I’m very worried about Mainoo now. I admire the manager sticking to what he believes but I cannot understand how a player of his calibre can be overlooked so often, even with a couple of players missing
Such a frustrating first half. United the better team by some distance. Then give away a sloppy corner and then the defending was shite. Proper gift of a goal. Cunha a real threat. Arsenal look rusty. Take advantage second half please. Get Sesko on.
All the Amorim out noise again from that section of the fanbase.
I don’t know how this game changes anything in your judgement. It’s all down to the Europa League.
If we’re this bad in the league next season then it will be unacceptable and questions could rightfully be asked.
A sucker punch and a superbly-worked goal from Newcastle. Ugarte's passing in Lyon was so poor and he played #mufc into trouble there. Familiar story for United: they don't take their chance and the opponent does.
This is genuinely a make-or-break tie for Andre Onana at United now.
He’s playing with fire with the initial comments about *this* team being better than Lyon. Those Lyon players will be using that as fuel.
But to fire back at Matic like that BEFORE the war? He has to perform.
@lauriewhitwell We need a captain to relieve Bruno. Such a bad example. Showing petulance on teammate errors. Losing head with referee. Defensively back-footed. Major issue with this team that inhibits other leaders.
Display containing much good ends in frustration. Game turned on penalty + Onana's save at end - push away - was important.
One of Zirkzee's best games, De Ligt near faultless, Casemiro covered well.
Hojlund sad going off, no shots again. Garnacho took five - too many. #MUFC
🚨🚨| NEW: The feeling among some internally at Manchester United is one of sympathy for Rasmus Hojlund, as he should not be shouldering the entire goalscoring burden in the strikers’ room at a club the size of Manchester United. [@NathSalt1]
Honestly, the Mainoo 10 thing has to end. It does NOT work against PL clubs. Lot of people will criticize for it now when they clamored for it earlier. It’s so obvious when Garnacho comes on and plays direct what’s missing from the front line the rest of the game.
@JamieJackson___ Hi Jamie, reckon its time to scrutinize the players a bit more since they're the common denominator here? they seem to get an easy ride, with a major assumption that a decent manager could change their tune. Maybe its them that need changing...
No issue with Bruno Fernandes moaning at officials. If anything, United players don’t moan enough. All the best teams are very adept at doing it and getting calls. In the VAR era (I know today is VAR-less), I’m convinced a lot of reviews come about because of player reaction
Marcus Rashford’s absence from #MUFC side can be traced to a conversation Ruben Amorim had with him about a night out within 48hrs of the Everton game.
Lacklustre performance in training the day before derby another factor.

I don’t have an issue with Amorim position overall re Rashford, but what was the point of rashford being in the squad to then not be used? No academy kid to be put in with a positive vibe if you’re not going to use him?
