@unfltrdbreathin thank you! i'm happy hear you noticed the hint of mystery :)
English

@anonymiserly @Prigoose yes I actually just changed that haha. And works in thereverse effect as well. Thank you for the feedback!

@anonymiserly @Prigoose Does something like this interaction and underlines help solve this?
English

the links (accelerator, coliving, etc) could stand to be more obviously links? underline maybe? I also want some more clear visual design linking them and the nodes of the octahedron they correspond to or something. idk the 3d thing is neat but tough to work with here. also the E of Events looks way too much like the same glyph as the C of Coliving and Campus which is a weird font quirk
the copy on the left and right of the header is ok, a bit verbose and glaze-over-able. could probably make it punchier
the command line "Explore Fractal..." is tough to know what to do with

@Liface @Prigoose @__drewface oh interesting many edges cases there. i'm working on improving the layout so the responsive design has safe-areas that are currently being overridden.
English

@jannaaar @Prigoose @__drewface Everything is now smushed on Galaxy S24 (left)
On desktop, the pendulum has swung into information overload. 2 paragraphs, logo, navigation, octant.
Could the intro description go below the navigation or in it's own section? Users wouldn't typically expect content so high up.

English

@jannaaar @Prigoose @__drewface YES! THIS IS IT!!!
It's now clear enough so that the flavor text below isn't needed anymore.
English

@jannaaar @Prigoose @__drewface Definitely better from a first 3 seconds and continuity perspective.
If the navigation is hamburgered I still think the Octant looks like adornment and there's nothing that directs a user towards interacting.
A few visible labels would be one solution, though there are others.
English

@Liface @Prigoose @__drewface this is an early prototype of mobile view - is something like this better in terms of of navigation, quick description, hint at something below the hero?
the arrow on their site was really cool!

English

@Prigoose @__drewface @jannaaar Still unclear there is text below the fold, I liked the arrow visual someone mentioned, Also there's still just too much white space above and below the polygon especially on desktop
English

@Prigoose @__drewface just updated the popover labels for mobile. now they are "on/open" once in view rather than on tap. also added clarifying text for what I now call the octant... open to different name suggestions for this fun octahedron geometry :)
English

@jannaaar And a great nod of course to the classical inspirations that drive us - the communities in antiquity, intellectual societies that valued curiosity just like us

@jannaaar Oooooh I'm definitely getting a handle on your design style now
English

Amazing vibes! Love the visual design.
I'm having a hell of a time trying to click the spinny thing in the hero section. At first I thought the little balls at the end were the click targets since that's where the labels pop up. Even once I realized it was the octahedron faces I can't reliably get them to respond to hover/click.
English

thank you @mr_samosaman for the coffee and reminding me to have fun :) it was refreshing to be pulled into a different way of thinking!

"what is architecture 101? for example, engineering 101 is like "can you build twitter from scratch?"" "knowing how to create a parti." "what is a parti?" "it's the basic organizing idea behind a design. it's usually a sketch you continue to circle back to while you work."
