Well what is the answer? Training around "cultural expectations"? Laminated posters about "British values"? Maybe we could vote a little harder? The establishment have ignored the will of the people every time it's been expressed. They've repeatedly promised to solve these problems then called us "bigots" for wanting them solved. Even when their own are killed by Islamists, as David Amess was, our leaders fold their hands, clench their teeth and mutter, "OUR. GREATEST. STRENGTH." The only time they listen is when people take to the streets.

@Steve_Laws_ Agreed. Rupert is respected and beloved in Great Yarmouth, he's had 22 months for them to get to know and trust his word. Totally different to going in cold. But on the other hand, if they found a candidate in Makerfield with similar local name recognition and respect? Hmmm...

Restore shouldn't field a candidate in the upcoming Makerfield by-election. We're not ready. We have no ground game in the area and we'll be fighting for third place at best. Better to avoid it entirely.
