Uppercasing letters and softening “MUST run” to “run” is proof that even Karpathy is not immune to doing rain dances to try to appease the unpredictable LLM gods. Talking to a computer used to be deterministic. Now you pray.

thanks to @karpathy , now i have cracked the mystery why my agent doesn't follow my instruction closely enough.

@ThePrimeagen If I read what you’re saying right - I don’t think there’s really a disconnect? “Coding isn’t the hard part” usually implies “generating lines of code isn’t the hard part” to me.

I hate these "coding isn't the hard part" tweets I have been a part of and seen several companies not just struggling with "the right decision" but the culmination of their past technical decisions. AI won't magically make this go away. Lines of Code is still a liability and producing it faster doesn't change or reduce it, if anything it increases liability. Room temperature Twitter take strikes yet again

@kailun_irl Arena did something almost as bad to me, I tapped WWRR manually for catharsis, hit the “pay with WW” button after doing that and it tapped both of my Starting towns for white mana with WWRR in the pool.

@dr_fatass @jaolen @TheVilageIdiot3 @BDEgameowners Did you read 903.5d: A card with a basic land type (i.e. Swamp of Brass) may be included in a Commander deck only if each color of mana it could produce is included in the commander’s color identity (but not all 5c are included in every "at least black" deck)

@herrNitter @dr_fatass @TheVilageIdiot3 @BDEgameowners Right: “it has a basic land type” (swamp) - check. “only if each color of mana it could produce is included in the commander’s color identity.” - it can produce any color of mana (see Exotic Orchard vs. City of Brass) - so it’d only be allowed in 5-color?

@dr_fatass @jaolen @TheVilageIdiot3 @BDEgameowners I know that, and that's why I use City of Brass in my Prossh deck. But did you really read the ruling and compared to the example? I know this is a special case and they never would design such a card with a basic land type, but still...

@dr_fatass @herrNitter @TheVilageIdiot3 @BDEgameowners Actually that rule feels a little ambiguous - I think I see the point here. It's basic land swamp, but "it" (the card) can produce any color mana, so the rule could be read as "this is a 5-color card", which is ... weird.

@SaffronOlive Honestly a 4 for sets, 5 (hell, 1,000,000,000) for secret lairs/reskins. My problem is way less about UB existing and way more about ruining standard with 7 sets/year and 3 year standard, while admitting testing sucks.

What number are you? I think I'm more or less a 3. Magic's sets don't need to be high fantasy for me to enjoy them, but once they are in a modern everyday setting or have irl people on them, they start lose me. reddit.com/media?url=http…

@mtg_ds Put it in perspective of “how many FNMs do I get to play this format” and it feels even worse.

@wildstwawberry My friends and I are like, theorycrafting with Shredder, right? And I’m just going “yeah we have three standard sets currently in preview…” It’s insanity.

Now that it’s been confirmed - Seven Standard legal sets in one year is absolute nonsense. More is not better!!! I’m burnt out and it’s still 2025!
