ℹ️//TODAY//FIXTURE//NL2 @jarrow_fc v @FC_Hartlepool Comp: Northern League Division Two Venue: Perth Green, NE32 4AQ Kick Off: 7:30pm 📈CURRENT FORM// Jarrow 3rd | WWDWDL - Saw their unbeaten run end at nine games with a 2-0 loss away at Seaham Red Star on Saturday. That was just their 6th league blank in front of goal from their 35 games played so far. At home they have won 8/16 league games, with five draws and three defeats completing their NL2 record to date at Perth Green. They are unbeaten in their last nine home league games - winning six. A Jay Barber hat trick secured a 3-0 victory in September’s reverse fixture - until last Saturday that was FC’s only loss on home soil in league action. The completion of the league double would see them move to within two points of Redcar Town in 2nd place. FC Hartlepool 7th | LWLWWL - The 3-2 loss at home to Tow Law Town at the weekend was just the second time this season they have lost at Grayfields in league action. Mikey McGee had put them ahead early before Nathan Bayes’ 20th league goal of the campaign made it 2-2 on the hour. The defeat ended an eight game winning streak on home soil. They have won 6/17 league games played on their travels, with a single draw and 10 losses rounding out their NL2 away record to date. A win in their last away outing - a 4-0 success away at Grangetown Boys Club - ended a five game losing streak on the road in league action. Lost 3-0 in September’s reverse fixture. One of only two league defeats at Grayfields. A win tonight could see them end the night as high as 4th place - playoff rivals Park View, two places, and two points ahead of them are also in action tonight at home to Boldon CA. ⏪LAST TIME// Jarrow recorded a 4-2 victory in the corresponding NL2 fixture last season at Perth Green. Callum Johnston put the hosts ahead with an 11th minute penalty, then with 16 minutes on the clock Ryan Hardie doubled their lead, before two minutes later he made it 3-0 with his second of the afternoon. Aiden Chaney pulled a goal back on 39 minutes but Lutfur Karim restored Jarra’s three goal advantage on 42 minutes, 4-1. FC added a consolation eight minutes from time as Dean Cope made it 4-2. 🔮OUR PREDICTION// Jarra’s superb home form and nine‑match unbeaten run at Perth Green give them a strong platform to respond after Saturday’s setback. FC Hartlepool carry a threat, especially with Bayes in form, but their woes on the road remain a major obstacle. The hosts’ attacking depth and resilience at home should tilt a competitive game in their favour. Playoff positioning will drive both, but we have to back the home side. Jarra 2–1 FC.
