Okay, @gdb is team CLI all the way. @garrytan thinks MCPs suck.
So we hit the streets of SF to see if the city agreed.
We posed a simple question: MCP or CLI?
- Basically everyone under the age of 35 said CLI
- One person said MCP was as bloated as Java
- & unsurprisingly, numerous people told us to touch grass

Disney has cancelled their deal with OpenAI.
They planned to invest $1 billion into the company and let Sora have access to AI generate videos of characters from Disney, Marvel, Pixar and Star Wars.

OpenAI is killing Sora as a standalone app, its developer version, and video inside ChatGPT.
Shows they see coding, enterprise software, and agent tools as a better use of scarce compute and top researchers instead of using it on video generation which is expensive.
That makes this less about one failed app and more about product discipline, because OpenAI appears to be moving away from a scattered consumer strategy toward one superapp centered on ChatGPT, Codex, and software that can act on a user’s behalf.
