Value is important in modern roster building.
Retention is worth something. However, it isn’t worth making a role player the second highest paid guy among a list of VERY high priced players.
I’d move along with very little regret here.

@BRamseyKSR Yes, he's a good player and his scoring has been a must for this team, but I question whether he wants 20pt more than he wants to win at times. And his effort predicated on his scoring...gets lazy when he isn't putting up points. Makes me happy and drives me insane at same time

Let me quickly clarify…THANK GOODNESS we have Otega Oweh.
However, as I said in the preseason, if he is your best player your ceiling isn’t where Kentucky wants/expects it to be.
Have to upgrade “best player” more than anything else this offseason.

This sounds harsh, and I guess it is, but you probably shouldn’t get a technical down 12 when you are 5-17 with four turnovers. I’m not really a fan of the Otega Oweh experience.

@BRamseyKSR Been watching that happen all season with multiple guys. The lack of on court discipline on D and O at times drives me crazy. It's really a lack of IQ.

@BRamseyKSR Pope appears to have no feel for substitutions...like he's predetermined when and tries to stay with it. Too smart to keep making these same mistakes over and over. Main problem...roster isn't good enough

@katiefil23 I think the same. Someone needs to fill him in on his NBA stock or lack thereof....and when his decision making is like that...what stock he does have is sinking. Truthfully, he's not a "best player" on a great team guy. He's 2nd or 3rd option. Has alot of holes

I’m an Oweh fan, and we’d be much worse without him. But those were two really dumb mistakes for a veteran. Foul 70 feet from the basket and give them 2 free throws, followed by that possession where he’s trying to be fancy and turns it over. Protect the ball, and the lead! #BBN

@BRamseyKSR Been saying that. Effort/juice comes and goes with this team. Games they've won, they played hard. My theory on BG, he simply goes thru the motions of playing hard. Has to think about playing hard.....won't work. Shouldn't play.
