I call for open source projects to stop doing business in the UK as one of the action items in my open letter at fossdef.org The UK needs to wake up and stop suppressing free speech, or else they'll be left with a broken internet.

Just finished @Vladcostea’s interview of @deadalnix and it’s the best crypto content I’ve seen in a long time. The amount of knowledge Amaury brings to the table is incredible and it’s a must watch for anyone who is interested in the technical and social aspects of Bitcoin.

Paying taxes is similar to the TSA in the degree to which it makes me feel like a complete moral alien. The entire system is absurd, arbitrary, obnoxious, offensive, and wrong. Yet most people just go along with it without any consideration or objection.

@Devon_Eriksen_ @hoshizorarock The intonation of SoCal English is incredibly variable. Usually more so than other forms of English. To speakers with lower intonation variance, we sound sort of crazy.

@Devon_Eriksen_ @hoshizorarock Wait, you aren’t aware that California/SoCal English is a thing? It’s been studied because how much it verifies from other forms of English. It’s pretty fascinating to me, especially since I grew up in SoCal.

If it wasn’t obvious to you, the quantum debate is just as much about quantum as the blocksize debate was about the blocksize.
nic carter@nic_carter

This was the most important line to me. Developers keep telling me "it's handled. it's under control." Ok, then show me the plan. Show me the roadmap. Where's Bitcoin's equivalent of pq.ethereum.org ? What's the plan? What are you views on BIP360? So far, 100% of Bitcoin devs I have asked have refused to answer these questions, which is another way of saying "there is no plan." They just resort to tired platitudes like "the community will decide". Ok – how are you soliciting input from the community then?

@esrtweet @Kasekisai_T Maybe I'm an exception, but I was seeing these on IRC long before I knew anything about Japanese culture. Never had an issue understanding them.

@tatmasa @deadalnix Let's assume you are right. During rehearsal, do you miss the moment of SRB separation that contains very high risk? If something goes wrong, you cannot evaluate it because the camera man wasn't focused. He failed at his job.

NASA's Artemis II is a masterclass in what not to do. It was very amateurish, with potatoe quality cameras in the capsule for instance, but the problems are too numerous in a 6h livestream to list. I'll just select 2: 1. The liftoff, where the rocket move off camera and the cameraman is not ready. 2. The SRB separation, where the the crowd was the start of the show. It's no bad it looks like a student project thrown together hastily in a weekend. If the is representative of NASA's culture, and more importantly attention to details, I'm worried for the astronauts.
