Beware of any Christian movement that demands the government be an instrument of God's wrath but never a source of God's charity, mercy, or compassion.

Far from looking for the end of the world, Jewish apocalyptic writers were looking for the end of empire. And far from living under the shadow of anticipated cosmic dissolution, they looked for the renewal of the earth. - Richard Horsley on apocalyptic literature

🚨 BREAKING: CBS reportedly refused to air Stephen Colbert’s interview with Democratic Senate candidate James Talarico after pressure tied to Trump’s FCC. Let that sink in. A network news giant backing down because a president doesn’t like the politics. Trump isn’t afraid of “fake news.” He’s afraid of losing Texas. Here is the full 14 minutes for you to see what they tried to censor.

Incredible watch. Whether you agree with his politics or not, there may be some wisdom to be found in a discussion with a good man who loves his family, our country and his God as he stares down death in the face. Praying for @BenSasse and his family.
Hoover Institution@HooverInst

In December 2025, former US Senator @BenSasse announced that he had been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. That's the primary topic for this @UncKnowledge conversation about mortality, faith, and what truly matters when time is short. Talking to host @P_M_Robinson, Sasse reflects on "redeeming the time"—holding ambition lightly, loving family more deliberately, and resisting the urge to make politics or professional success the center of life. The discussion also covers Sasse's thoughts on the failures of Congress; the dangers of a fragmented, attention-starved republic; the crisis of higher education; and the moral challenges of technological abundance. He speaks candidly and movingly about regret, forgiveness, prayer, and suffering—arguing that while death is a real enemy, it does not get the final word. Watch the full conversation on X:

The administration has not provided one piece of evidence that he was threatening law enforcement with a weapon he was in legal possession of. Folks that don’t know “gun people” would be shocked how often they surrounded by folks that are carrying. Carrying isn’t a crime. It’s not a threat in and of itself, and they shot him (as far as the evidence suggests) AFTER he’d been disarmed.
Stephen Miller@StephenM

A domestic terrorist tried to assassinate federal law enforcement and this is your response? You and the state’s entire Democrat leadership team have been flaming the flames of insurrection for the singular purpose of stopping the deportation of illegals who invaded the country.

I sat through two hours of lunacy this afternoon. And watched 15 minutes of this guy just now. The difference is night and day. If you want to understand the long-term damage Donald Trump is doing to our country, it’s worth your time.

60 years ago, MLK warned about "giant triplets" corroding the nation... racism, extreme materialism and militarism. Somalian-Americans labeled "garbage," a White House dripping in gold, military action threatened against allies and US cities. We need to do better.

For years, this administration has tried to train us to fear immigrants, to adopt a zero-sum worldview, and to believe that we cannot afford to extend hospitality. But Christians don't operate from scarcity. Christians seek to include, not push out. Christians reject a spirit of fear, and Christians insist on solutions that honor the humanity of our neighbors. This is who we are and what we stand for as followers of Jesus. @skyejethani & Matthew Soerens from @worldrelief on 🎙️Holy Post 699

MAGA on January 6 — people who fight with cops don't deserve to be punished if they feel like what the cops are doing is wrong. MAGA on January 7 — people who fight with cops for any reason deserve to die. I'm just saying, pick a lane, folks.

A woman came up to ask Charlie Kirk a question and told him her blood sugar was low. The first thing he said to his helpers was “get her a snickers”. The left would have you believe this man was evil and “deserved” what happened to him.

It’s incredibly challenging when Christians on various sides think the other side is delusional, blind, trapped, etc. How do we know who is being faithful to God? The litmus test I believe is: Cruciform love. Living the Beatitudes. The Sermon on the Mount. That’s how we know.
