Once you learn to love yourself, your mental health will get better and better. Don't let other's opinion define who and what you are. Love yourself so fierce that others want to love themselves just as much as you do. Make others jealous with how in love you are with yourself. You are the only one who can define who you are. #SuicidePrevention #LoveYourself #ItsGoodForYourMentalHealth #SelfLoveIsTheBestKindOfLove #SelfCare #FallinLoveWithYourself #MentalHealthMatters

On April 30, 2026, The Jason Foundation reached a milestone of providing In-Service and Professional Development Training for suicide awareness and prevention to an educator or administrator every day for 100 MONTHS in a row, beginning Jan. 1, 2018. This includes holidays such as Christmas, the Fourth of July and New Year’s Day, as well as weekends for 3,042 consecutive days, or eight years and four months! During this time, more than 1 million trainings were provided through the organization’s online library alone, averaging one training every 4.06 minutes, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Few, if any, organizations can claim such a record. However, the individuals who made this milestone possible are the teachers, administrators and schools across the nation who recognize the value of this training as leaders for our youth. Because of their commitment to being trained, lives will be changed and lives will be saved. Thank you to our educators for making this achievement possible! The Jason Foundation

Childhood Depression Awareness Day, observed on May 5 this year, was created to protect and help children who are suffering from this debilitating illness. The image we usually have of childhood is of children full of life and the desire to play, but this is not always the case. Unfortunately, childhood depression exists. It is a very serious issue that needs to be discussed by parents, caregivers, and teachers. Depression is one of the main factors that cause other illnesses worldwide, and it affects all age groups. WHO classifies depression as a global health crisis, but its impact on children can be even more devastating and extreme, putting the lives of boys and girls in jeopardy. #SuicidePrevention #MentalHealthAwareness #Depression #ItsOkayNotToBeOkay #YoureNotAlone #988 nationaltoday.com/childhood-depr…

The 2026 theme, “More Good Days, Together,” emphasizes the importance of recognizing what constitutes a “good day” for individuals and communities, and using that insight to foster connection, support, and advocacy. The theme highlights that mental health is relational and that collective support can help people experience more positive days, even amid challenges. (Mental Health America)

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and support those facing mental health challenges. When mental health declines, people may experience warning signs such as depression, sudden changes in appetite, anger or increased irritability. If mental illness is left untreated, it can increase the risk of suicide. Mental health is a priority for JFI, not only in May but year-round. Everyone can play a role in supporting mental health. Watch a pizza the action from our Monday night fundraiser at Pizza Ranch. The Jason Foundation worked alongside staff, clearing dishes for guests, bussing tables, and maintaining a clean dining room. Thank you again to Pizza Ranch for partnering with us to support our mission of raising awareness and preventing youth and young adult suicide. Because of this partnership, we raised more than $100, which will go toward providing our life-saving programs and materials at no cost to parents, educators and the community.  We are grateful for all partners and supporters who make our work possible. Businesses interested in hosting a fundraiser and joining our mission of keeping more than dreams alive, can contact us at DonovenRice@jasonfoundation.com to learn more.
