Rev share goes to the sports that generate the most revenue based on one thing and one thing only…TV revenue! Until ESPN starts showing more college baseball, unfortunately college baseball will Always be behind when it comes to rev share. Which means donors will have to fill in the blanks. Football, WBB and MBB will Always have more rev share due to television contracts and revenue. In my opinion the number 2 sport at LSU is baseball but in terms of revenue it’s MBB. Even when we finish in dead last money is still made. We have to continue to raise money for NIL and have businesses ready to contribute for us to stay competitive…Jay knows that and is doing an amazing job Cultivating relationships. Unfortunately winning championships is expensive but enjoyable!

See this is where commenting on a situation can be detrimental to the groups understanding. LSU baseball gets a very small share of revenue share, most of it goes to Football, MBB, and WBB. Jay has said on the record he would like a bigger piece of that pie. Not saying that NIL deals don’t help with this but rev share is an area where LSU is in the middle of the pack for the SEC.

This take. Where do you think the money is coming from? Fire everyone, pay buyouts, give more money. There is only so much. We aren’t Texas or Texas AM.

And I supported them all just as I’m doing now. And I will continue to support them until they aren’t here anymore because I’m an LSU Supporter. Jay has to work with what he’s given, just as Lane, Matt and Kim do. They have to have donors who are willing to give, but those same donors are being asked by everyone. It’s easy to spend other folks money. I simply answered your question about you saying go find a few extra million. If it was that easy everyone would be doing it. LSU will never be able to outspend the likes of Texas, Ohio State etc. we just don’t have the donor base for that
