Patrick Cripps being fined for “staging” is yet another example as to why it’s time for Michael Christian, Captain Collingwood himself, to be removed as MRO. Cripps was pushed square in the back. It’s a free. He is not obligated to downplay prohibited contact so to save McStay.

I’d like Chrisso to explain his rationale. Is that fair enough? He’s sanctioned Cripps for “staging,” but in what way? Does Christian not think a free kick shouldve been awarded (a worry, it’s a textbook two-handed shove in the back); or does he think Cripps embellished the contact? If it’s the latter, every player who embellishes high contact, a hold et al needs to be fined.
