Wanted to walk through what happened today.
I posted that a Superwall feature at $199/mo falls under Guideline 5.6. Developer Code of Conduct. Manipulation (a follower pointed this out in the comments).
Yesterday I watched Adam Lyttle video where he shared advice from Will. I read Will’s article, it’s public. I attached a screenshot from it as an example.
Today Will got a letter from Apple confirming that the Superwall feature at $199/mo may cause problems. I don’t know if he got it during an app update or not, but if you’re using this feature, it may cause problems.
I want to publicly apologize. @athcanft if you need help navigating this, I’m here. I had zero bad intent.
And now we all know Apple employees read my posts. Didn’t know that either.

We found and fixed two issues that could explain this degradation of the capability of GPT-5.5 in Codex over the last ~ 48 hours. We are monitoring over the coming hours to fully confirm and I will reset usage limits this evening. Apologies and now is the time for /fast maxxing.

No one making real money is doing freemium.
Stop letting users skip your paywall.
Install a hard paywall with a free trial:
· User can't access app without starting trial
· Force the decision upfront
· 3-7 day free trial + yearly subscription
No “let them try, they will come back if they like it”
They won’t.
With a hard paywall my conversion went from 2% to 27%.
Freemium = zero revenue.
Hard paywall = real business.

in most /goal ive done thats over 10 hours codex spent 90% of the time on BS and then couldnt explain what it was even trying to do after spending 8 hours on it
