Absolutely not. It happened because : 1. Only Pakistan as a country and its leadership are puppet enough to say whatever trump wants. Remember their PM acting like a coy teenage girl in front of trump while proposing Noble peace prize. 2. They are totally bankrupt. They survive in weekly pay checks from US, and other middle eastern oil nations. So this is like securing a year’s worth of salary. 3. They would want total autonomy and no interference in their operations against Afghans and Balochs, which involves abduction, killings and raping of thousands. 4. Then need military hardware asap to counter India. Especially more fighter and missiles. The pounding they got last year proved thah their Chinese air defence setup is useless. 5. They are under unimaginable size of debt 6. They want to keep playing China - US favourite. Seasonally shifting loyalties to gather favours. This is US’s season. 7. They have no morality or shame, especially when it comes to money. 8. They do ball tampering in cricket and gov matches. Not that it’s related here but it’s good to mention. All in all, Pakistan was chosen because no one else would do dirty work of selling its soul. They screwed their neighbor and another Muslim nation, Afghanistan a few years back, for same dollars. They lent their army to kill thousands of Palestinians, the same cause they cry rivers for as part of their drama. This isn’t statecraft, diplomacy or geopolitics. It’s straight up pimping yourself.

Forget India, why do you think no other credible party was interested in mediating the war in West Asia publicly? Not the Chinese, not the Europeans, not the Scandinavians. Because the Trump administration is unhinged and unpredictable. They can't keep Israel under check. Now they cycle through rave colors while emitting a high-pitched pairing frequency. I spent my entire Saturday trying to connect my kitchen ceiling to our router using a 2.4GHz band. I am a 52-year-old man standing on a stepping stool screaming at a lightbulb because my phone can't find its Bluetooth signal. Tomorrow I'm going to Home Depot to buy $2 incandescent bulbs. I want my house to be stupid again.
