Finally after almost a week of the same story (@delhivery marking the package as not ready despite no attempts to pickup) I cancelled. Dad went and sent the package by regd post. Arrived in under 72hrs, cost Rs. 41 (@help_delhivery cost 165). Avoid Delhivery! RT for awareness!
Vinay Aravind@vinayaravind

In theory @delhivery Direct is a good idea! Courier with home pickup. In practice - a complete nightmare. Their agents keep falsely reporting 'package not ready' (5th day today). They have no human customer care, no useful responses on email, nothing! Please RT to spread the word

Bear with me for a personal story that sheds light on this 'antisemitic hate crime' issue. Last year I was invited to deliver a lecture on state violence to a conference. I used Gaza as the main example. A Jewish woman confonted me in the refreshments queue. She accused me of selecting an inappropriate example. I replied that I'm against Netanyahu's regime and I hope you are too. She said nothing and returned to her seat. That was it. Nothing more. The following morning, the conference organiser rang to inform me that I had been reported to the regional police service as the perpetrator of an antisemitic hate crime. NFA, of course, but the incident has still been registered and the university informed. So it's on the statistics. How often is this happening? Genuine question, because I really don't know.

You can’t call something a "clerical error" in the morning and then move to censor discussion about it by evening. That’s not damage control, it’s damage confirmation. In a poll-bound state, this is not a minor slip-up. When an official communication from the Election Commission of India carries the imprint of a political party like the Bharatiya Janata Party, it raises a fundamental and uncomfortable question, where does the referee end and the player begin? And if merely asking that question invites takedown notices, then the problem is clearly much deeper than a so-called "clerical error."

Chief Electoral Officer Kerala@Ceokerala

OFFICIAL CLARIFICATION: REGARDING THE ERRONEOUS CIRCULATION OF ELECTION COMMISSION DOCUMENT It has come to our notice that a letter from the Election Commission, bearing the seal of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), is being circulated across various Malayalam news channels. The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) hereby clarifies that this was purely a clerical error, which was identified and rectified immediately. The BJP Kerala Unit had recently approached the CEO’s office seeking clarification on the 2019 guidelines regarding the publication of criminal antecedents of candidates. Along with their request, the party submitted a photocopy of the original 2019 directive. The party's seal was present on that specific copy provided by them. Due to an oversight, the office failed to notice the party symbol on the submitted document and inadvertently redistributed it to other political parties as part of the requested clarification. The guidelines in question have undergone revisions since 2019, which have already been communicated to all political entities. The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer acknowledged the lapse as soon as it was detected. Consequently. On March 21, the Deputy Chief Electoral Officer issued a formal letter withdrawing the erroneous document. The withdrawal notice was dispatched to all political parties, District Election Officers, and Returning Officers. The public and media are requested to refrain from spreading misleading messages based on this clerical error. The Election Commission maintains a rigorous and foolproof system to ensure that the electoral process remains free from any external interference or influence.

“Will It Work?” That’s @nytimes headline on Israel’s extrajudicial assassinations. Not the fact that they violate international law and set a dangerous precedent, but will it work. How is this journalism?

This creep has spent weeks stalking @NYCMayor's wife's social media interactions going back years in search of rage-bait. But you don't have to go that far to find what a vile and poisonous creature he is.

A High Court judge has ruled in favour of Guardian columnist Owen Jones in a libel case brought against him by a BBC editor. Raffi Berg, the BBC’s Middle East editor, took legal action in November last year over a report by Jones which laid the blame for the BBC’s biased coverage of the Gaza genocide largely at Berg’s door. The high court has now ruled that the article’s argument was acceptable because it expressed an opinion based on a quoted body of material. “I am delighted that the high court has ruled in my favour on the key issues in the libel case brought by Raffi Berg,” said Jones. “I stand by my journalism and, if Mr Berg decides to continue the libel claim, I look forward to defending my article in court.” In his article for Drop Site News, Jones accused Berg of sanitising coverage of Israel’s genocidal violence in Gaza. "The implication is that my client goes around making decisions that actively favour Israel,” Berg’s barrister told the court at a hearing on Friday. "He is a bent journalist, that’s what the article is saying." Berg instructed Mark Lewis of Patron Law, previously a director of UK Lawyers for Israel, as his solicitor. The case is one of the first in the UK where a journalist from a major national news outlet has sued another. The last notable case was in 2019, when the BBC’s John Ware sued Paddy French, an independent journalist and former current affairs producer at ITV, for describing his Panorama documentary on Labour antisemitism as a “rogue piece of journalism”. A judge awarded Ware £90,000 in damages.

Country is in the midst of a massive crisis and our prime minister is going to Assam to inaugurate a shopping mall?? Do these clowns not have any shame? It's bad enough that they're useless and incompetent, but to wave it in your face like this is truly obscene.
Himanta Biswa Sarma@himantabiswa

This is the Ekta Mall in Guwahati which Adarniya @narendramodi ji will inaugurate tomorrow. It will house stalls from all districts of Assam and all States of Bharat and will reflect the spirit of Ek Bharat, Shresht Bharat. #PMModiInAssam
