I’m your 2025 district 3 2A champion in discus. After going this whole season with no throwing circle to practice on and on top of that it’s only my second year throwing. Now I’m heading to states to finish what I started, no matter where they have me seeded im gonna pop off!

Steel -High earned a medal in every event entered in the AA District III T&F Championship. 100m, 200m, 110h, 300h, TJ, Discus, Shot put. All with no track & field facilities, who else can say that, I'll wait!!!😁

Day 2 of districts, @Quann_Padgett & @IsaiahGarfield1 finished 13 & 14 in discus at districts. Jahmya finished 15th, being the first girl to throw at districts in the post season in years. To top the day off @javiusdent18 brought the discus crown back home w/ a throw of 157’7

Monday was the end of the regular season, so I wanted to take a second and shout out the throwers that have made the post season from this years team. Most are looking to compete at the next level in track or other sports. Athlete info in the comments

Jahmya Mckethan is a senior, she’s been throwing for a couple of seasons. She broke the school record for discus that stood since 1982 with a throw of 93’6 and has qualified for the conference championship

Javius Dent is a senior, it’s his second year of throwing. He broke the school record that has stood since 1963 with a throw of 161’11. He is currently seeded 5th in the conference and first in our district for AA. @javiusdent18

Steelton-Highspire has a 2025, two year discus thrower that is gets after it. Potential is high.
