Today in @RwandaWest and @RwandaNorth, MINALOC conducted a Training of Trainers on the Mbaza Platform, a newly launched digital system designed to enhance service delivery, strengthen conflict resolution, and improve citizen complaint management.
Participants engaged in hands-on technical exercises, equipping them with practical skills to efficiently navigate the platform and address community concerns with greater transparency. The trained participants will now serve as lead trainers, cascading this knowledge to grassroots staff at sector and cell levels.
The mbaza.gov.rw portal is currently operational within the City of Kigali. A nationwide roll out to the remaining districts is scheduled to commence immediately following the conclusion of capacity-building sessions for the relevant staff of decentralised entities.

Today, members of the Social Protection Sector Working Group convened for the 2025/26 Social Protection - Joint Sector Review, a platform to reflect on progress made in strengthening social protection systems and reducing poverty across Rwanda.
Ingabire Jean Claude, Director General in charge of Planning commended the achievements attained over the past year, particularly the continued reduction of poverty through household graduation, efforts to combat malnutrition, and the expansion of shock-responsive interventions that safeguard vulnerable families.
He further urged members to enhance collaboration in addressing remaining challenges by scaling up the interventions of national strategy for graduation out of poverty and broadening social protection coverage to ensure no one is left behind.
Rwanda received the Award for Excellence in Local Leadership during the 6th edition of the International Forum on Participatory Democracy in Africa (FIDEPA) held in Dakar, Senegal. It was organized in partnership with the International Observatory for Participatory Democracy in Africa (IOPD Africa) and the Union of Local Elected Officials of Senegal.
The award recognized Rwanda’s strong reforms in digitizing local service delivery and its continued commitment to citizen-centered governance.
