@DLarryHoffman @soapcentral I think it more so has to do with his current pairing that is dragging him down and making him weak. Although, the Adam and Nick dynamic is new is fresh.

@soapcentral You have a point, but to replace this Adam with the man he used to be would be depressing. For years, I've wanted to see interesting stories with Victoria, Nick and Adam working as a team. I think there could be some good stories with them working together.

@Bawoman47 @kimbafuzz What he should be doing now is pulling out all stops trying to get Newman Media back, but they aren’t even letting him to that and instead are randomly throwing him to the Matt Clark story.

@Bawoman47 @kimbafuzz It was still at least something he was doing. And just a few months after that, he once again reverted back to being a complete outsider of the family after his first breakup with Sally. Adam hasn’t had anything to do on the show for the past year.

This just reads like a disgruntled Sally & Adam fan. He was literally doing the same thing while paired with Sally. He wasn’t “gray” he was being redeemed and accepted into the family fold. Just like now. #YR

@Bawoman47 @kimbafuzz He was trying to scheme to get the CEO position at Newman Enterprises. It was light stuff compared to what he did many years ago at that time but there was still conflict, which there isn’t any at all now.

@Bawoman47 @kimbafuzz Not really. He was never this beloved innocent choir boy when he was with Sally. Yes, he was redeemed and was in a lot less conflict, but no where near as cleaned up as he is now.

@kimbafuzz Honestly Adam has been a choir boy for 5 years, since before Sally or Chelsea. If anything he was cleaned up for Sally.

@Bubbleteabath1 @kimbafuzz Chelsea has also never accepted “dark” Adam either no matter how she was written. Sally being written as a “do-gooder” isn’t the same as Adam’s reformed state now. A driving factor to his character was always about the conflict between him and his family.

@kimbafuzz Exactly. And currently Sally is written as reformed and a do gooder. She wants to make Billy into a good stable guy. She would never accept dark Adam in her current form.

@kimbafuzz @Bubbleteabath1 Adam told Sally and other characters about Sally that she was his true love of his life/soulmate. He never said that to or about Chelsea since they got back together. It’s just all very generic sentiments, which is just telling Chelsea how amazing she is to prop her up.

This is such a false statement. Adam called Sally the loml on loop and said the same about Sharon a few years back before meeting Sally. Idc who you believe is his true love, but he didn’t only say that to Chelsea. Just because you don’t like it, doesn’t make it untrue🤷‍♂️. #YR

@kimbafuzz @Bubbleteabath1 They didn’t really find their way back like they’re some grand love story. Adam didn’t pay any attention to her until their son got sick and never entertained the idea of a reunion with Chelsea until Connor wanted it. It was all on the back of the kid.

@kimbafuzz @Bubbleteabath1 Both times combined lasted a year. There was still that year and half of the triangle where Adam was still in love with her and fought endlessly to get her back, plus had a long buildup, so it was a few years.

@kimbafuzz @Bubbleteabath1 He’s been consistent with Chelsea up until he got together with Sally. For the first time in a decade since Adam and Chelsea met, Sally was the first woman who he fell in love with other than her and it lasted for quite a few years🤷‍♀️

@jay_master05 @Bubbleteabath1 True. And this Adam cheated on Sally and reunited with Chelsea. So as a character, he’s been pretty consistent since he first fell in love with Chelsea.

@kimbafuzz The original post insinuated that Adam called only Chelsea the love of his life, when he told Sally just 2 years ago that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her and went on in calling her his soulmate and love of his life.

@kimbafuzz Even so, Adam turned to Sharon when he needed help and confided in her to the point where he said that he had always loved her and not Chelsea around 2020 during the AJ story.
