Just a guy learning SwiftUI on the fly and building WakeGuard because iPhone alarms have screwed me (and many others) way too many times.

@thechromatican @luvblessingz I don’t think so. I’m an incredibly light sleeper but I must have been really tired yesterday as I didn’t hear my alarm at 7:30. I woke up at 8:37 and the alarm was going off but it was silent. My sound level was the same as always

Waking up and realizing the alarm didn't make any sound is the worst.

My case is for wake-up alarms, but I still wouldn't expect alarms to ring silently and the user never wake up. After more testing, it goes silent when the alarm rings with the device not on lock screen, otherwise it snoozes.

@anadasky @luvblessingz But also. The alarm is still supposed to go off even if your phone is on silent. I have all my background settings set so the alarm will still sound, but it doesn't all the time. The silent alarm issue is random, it's not even consistently a silent alarm.

@yashwanth941v Half of the time my screen is not even working when the alarm goes on. it’s just off, tapping doesn’t wake it up, alarm is ringing, and only pressing the side button silences it. this hasn’t been the case with the old alarm on my iPhone.

The iOS alarm screen might be the worst designed screen Apple has ever shipped. Everything feels off - the clock, the buttons, the controls.

Dear @apple, I don’t know what is going on with your damn keyboard, but I have NEVER in the 19 years of owning iPhones, had to backspace, retype, start over, correct words as much as I am now! And what happened to autocorrect!? Is that not a thing anymore? Please fix this!

@milkou1d i have it open and i have my dnd set to stop 30 mins before the alarm should go off 😭
it’s not every time but i think it has to do with my apple alarm not working? like when my apple alarms fail then my alarmy ONLY vibrates — no setting changes at all :(

i’m so annoyed at my alarms :( my apple ones have been having issues for like a year now, so i got alarmy and that had been perfect but suddenly it’s not actually playing the alarm sound until i OPEN THE APP???? just vibrate?????
