@joecos4457 @SmokeyTimRobbo It’s not the same anymore Joe, you’re talking about a whole different calibre of player there who even if we were able to attract or produce now in the academy would be hoovered up by a Cat 1 early on. It’s like comparing apples and oranges post EPPP in academy land.

@SmokeyTimRobbo Ashton, Lunt, Maynard, Wright etc were all in and around the team by 18yo. Now we’re waiting until players are 20+ for them to hit the same levels, by which they aren’t saleable assets.

@colclough_dan I don’t think our injuries are dissimilar to other clubs. But we spend the majority of our budget on the experienced/main players to supplement the academy lads on peanuts, and they’re the ones who seem to get injured 🤦‍♂️ We can’t afford outside players not made of breadsticks 🤷‍♂️

@RailwaymenThe I was bored sat there. Tezgel on his own doesn’t suit him. I’d actually have gone 3-5-2 today ironically! Would like to see more of Moult. Belly didn’t come near the away fans, kept a very safe distance which was unnecessary as it was tepid.

What I would say is I’d much rather see us setup to try and hurt teams than constantly change what we’re doing to try and nullify their threats before we’ve even started. Let them worry about us! #CreweAlex
