@BradLoganCOTE It is an epidemic that should be addressed. With 48 games over 4 days, some unqualified refs are assigned. They call fouls on minimal contact & they have no familiarity with players.
As the tourney progresses, officiating improves. Too late for some teams!

There were multiple fouls missed, on both ends, by that one official.
How he's officiating major college hoops is baffling.
This is quite the admission below. It was pretty clear it should have been a no-call or a block.

@Sam_Federman Four times in 10 seasons in the second round (three at Gampel) is ridiculous. It's not like geography is that important anymore. Could have sent Syracuse to any of the top seeds as a 9.

He had no clue what happened. But he guessed & made a weak charging call.

@CVan20141272 @DayDreamThis Geno sat all of his starters during the 2nd half. Nobody played more than 25 minutes.
He also called off the press & Syracuse tied UCONN in 2nd half points.
He did the same in the 1st round vs. UTSA.

@DayDreamThis That game was hard to watch. I started watching after half time. Why didn’t they sit the starters and let the upcoming girls get some tournament time. Not surprised cause it’s Geno but disappointed. I have SC beating them to make the finals. Hoping they can!

They also couldn't have Iowa or Michigan as a #2 seed in UCLA's region for the same reason (All Big 10 teams).
The S curve for the #2 seeds had to be totally abandoned this season!

@mythoughts0530 @jaydee602 No. They changed rule maybe a decade ago that teams from same conference cant be seeded 1-2 in a region. It happened in 2011 with Baylor-Texas A&M and in 2008 UConn-Rutgers (likely others). So can’t have SC-LSU as S-curve would have it

@jaydee602 I’m a lsu fan and I often turn the tv off in the second half because I thoroughly enjoy competitive games over blow outs but I’m always happy to be in the win column
