My thoughts are with the family of Jacob Flickinger, a Canadian citizen who was among those killed in an Israeli airstrike on an aid vehicle. Killed while delivering food to civilians in need, his death is absolutely unacceptable. At a time when humanitarian aid is so urgently needed in Gaza, Israel has an obligation to ensure the safety of aid workers. The world – and his loved ones – deserves an explanation as to how this happened.

Tell me we aren't living in a police state... This is Alberta, Canada. Heavily armed police in riot gear with their name badges removed line up against peaceful Canadians protesting the national carbon tax. Not a single one of these officers will speak to the people they're lining up against.
