@FaberIndia Facing multiple issues with the gas stove. Multiple followups and escalations but no response. I purchased this less than a month ago

@FaberIndia I purchased a brand new gas stove. Supposed to be "premium". I had an issue with it since the first day. All complaints have been resolved without anyone attending. Pathetic service as well as product. Not sure how the company even functions

@jayeshbali Unfortunately time zones are very tough with Asia especially because I live in the US Pacific timezone. That said, many founders and product people folks from India attend this course - at least 15% of each cohort is from India and maybe 20% total from Asia.

1/ Just completed @shreyas's Improving Your Product Sense course and wow, what a game-changer! It's given me confidence and expanded my thinking in ways I didn't expect.

@bandanjot True. What I was trying to get at was these guys would want to get better (think past the fundamentals). Anyway I think I have streched this conversation out, thanks for engaging!

@jayeshbali These better skilled have product fundamentals already figured out before they join Type A companies. Hence you will see its lot of these Type A hiring already skilled PMs or from MBA schools etc

Type 'A' Orgs: Hire PMs who will raise the skill level of other PMs around them Type 'B' Orgs: Hire PMs for their potential and betting on their ability to learn and improve fast Over time, PMs in Type B aspire to move to Type A companies as they seem to be more prestigious.

@bandanjot And this learning for these better skilled PMs would then probably come from outside the firm?

@jayeshbali In Type, PMs learn from other better skilled PMs (they were already highly skilled before they got hired)

@tobiasrogers Do you think having a completely groomed backlog for 6 weeks or so would make it difficult to launch fast post learning something? Since it will always be a 6 week gap before we can launch something we learnt after launching in week 1? Does stage of the product matter then?

As you go to sleep tonight, do remember that doctors continue to protest in the Delhi winter chill for their rights. The same doctors saved thousands of lives selflessly during #COVID19 second wave. The same doctors will save us all from the pandemic third wave. Spare a thought.
