Dr. Jay Walker and Dr. Alex Cardazzi, presented a joint project today titled, Contagious Sorrows? #Suicide, #Celebrity, and the #Werther Effect. They are using modern econometric methods to study suicide contagion in relation to celebrity deaths and suicide salience.
