Train from Solana Beach to LA was cancelled due to a rockslide, and my car is in the shop. Miraculously, a very nice couple from Indiana, also going to the game, gave me a ride to Pasadena! Improbably, I made it to the greatest setting in college football!

Holiday Sports Bucket List ✅ NBA Christmas Day Really festive vibes inside, and for the first time ever, NO LA TRAFFIC!

MAJOR shoutout to USC for playing a road game tonight AT San Diego of the WCC. If it was up to me, every P5 would play at least 1 road game a season vs a mid major, if not more. Good for the sport.

Tonight’s @stadium51 assignment brings me back to University of San Diego, this time for some hardwood action at Jenny Craig Pavilion. Steve Lavin’s squad is looking for a big upset over USC, who’s off to a nice start. @usdmbb

Tightwad Hill on a foggy morning in Berkeley! Was hoping for more visibility, but the romantic Bay Area fog is still a beautiful sight.

Made it up to the Bay for some Halloween Hockey! Tonight we’re at Tech CU Arena, home of the @sjbarracuda. Opened in 2022, the shiny new hockey house is part of a larger ice center in San Jose, owned by the Sharks. How many AHL arenas have a jersey wall? Pretty neat!
