This was deleted, so I removed the name, but I'll answer it. Sure. An Indiana kid deep his college career, whom we felt outperformed our evaluations of him as HS player. We could probably do a documentary of those just never made it, where it went from there academically.

The narrative of top Indiana kids should hunt prep schools to prepare for the next level is next level ignorance or pandering. A prep school will in no way, shape or form alter your ceiling. Impact your floor? Perhaps One 2025 kid who stayed home is still dancing.

NIL reminder: It sounds great when a college basketball player signs an NIL deal for $500,000. But when you learn that the player has to pay taxes on the $$$, pay his agent a percentage and often hire a pro trainer to help develop the player’s talent, there’s not much left.

I’m grateful my son @Alex_Shepherd10 grew up watching @petersuder1 play basketball. He is a generational talent and has always done it the right way on and off the court. Thanks Pete for allowing us to be part of your basketball journey, and best wishes for your future . #Hounds

Sports make a great game - but a terrible God. Listen carefully if you’re an athlete… One day the season will end. One day the career will end. One day the applause will stop. If your identity is in the game, you’ll feel lost when the game is gone. But if your identity is in God, the game simply becomes a platform. Sports are meant to be played. They were never meant to be worshipped. Train hard. Compete with excellence. Honor God with your effort. But never forget: Your purpose is bigger than your performance. “You shall have no other gods before me.” {Exodus 20:3}

Looking back on last weekend in Orlando. Thank you @NxgnCamps and @QBHitList for the invitation and opportunity to put in the work and get better. Really motivating to learn from so many great coaches and train with some of the top QBs in the country. Thankful. @NexGenbyApex

For Indiana High School Basketball Players... Priority #1 - Play in Charlie Hughes Priority #2 - Play in Run 'N Slam For all but, maybe, four AAU teams the non-live periods mean as much as the live periods b/c they don't have DI players. Play events within 3-4 hours of home so that A) the schools that are going to recruit you can see you and B) the schools that see you are actually interested in recruiting you. What circuit you play on is largely irrelevant for all but 20-25 players per class. For the other 100+ college level players you need to A) play in Charlie Hughes, B) play in Run 'N Slam, and C) actually interact with the schools that reach out to you in the spring/summer.
Prep Ball Stars@prepballstars

NOW is a better time to have this conversation: Which is the BEST 2nd tier shoe circuit? What is the top independent circuit? Some “circuits” are just money grabs for the teams and parents with little chance at seeing college coaches. Anyone?
