The sophomore Husky was just named the @BIGEAST POTW for a SEVENTH time this year, leading for the most conference POTW honors across D1 women’s basketball this season! @nckhui Right. So volunteering and helping children is a conflict of interest. Why? Because only public school children are worth helping? Students OVER Systems! @DeAngelisCorey

Wake County school board member Lynn Edmonds is concerned this change in NC law that's being incorporated into board policy would allow members to hide whether they're on the board of a charter school or private school. She says that's a conflict of interest. #nced #wcpss #ncpol

@nckhui Wash, rinse, repeat. When will they ever learn? The School Choice ship has sailed. You’re hard pressed to find a parent who doesn’t believe they should be able to choose the best school for their kids. #demsonthewrongsideofhistory

State Board of Education votes 8-2 to approve legislative funding requests, including requesting a moratorium on new North Carolina private school voucher spending. The 2 GOP members (Olivia Oxendine and State Treasurer Brad Briner) voted no. simbli.eboardsolutions.com/Meetings/Attac… #ncpol #nced

@CarolinaJournal The only way to keep their districts blue is to trap the kids in the system that trains them what to think, instead of how to think.

@SenatorBerger It’s a start. Remove the tiers and fund each child equally. Ask the Federal Government to also fund their PPE to reduce costs to the state.

@CarolinaJournal Absolutely. Get the income tiers removed and require the LEAs to fund the local per pupil portion. Ask DC to do the same.

OPINION | Being able to choose a school where children are fully taught according to parents’ values saves them from having to worry much about whether the local public school is complying with law and basic decency. #ncga #ncpol carolinajournal.com/opinion/school…

Parental involvement isn’t negotiable. Why? Because a parent should never discover her child’s name being changed only after it appeared on their diploma. That’s who we’re fighting to protect. #ncpol #sb49

@ncspeakerhall Fully expand school choice. Get rid of the income tiers, instruct LEAs to fund the local PPE & competition will control these types of things. But when you have a monopoly on education & a school choice program that isn’t funded equitably, this is what we are left with.

Chapel Hill Carrboro Schools has launched a full-blown indoctrination campaign in their elementary schools. On Wednesday, the House Oversight Committee will hear them defend their legal “theories” as to why they can openly violate state law. #ncpol

@BrendenJonesNC Fully expand school choice. Authorize LEAs to offer funding. remove the income tiers. Those in Tier 2 & Tier 3 is the most unfair of the opportunity scholarship. You’ve started school choice, make it equitable. The more choice there is, the less of this you’ll have to deal with.

House Oversight Committees Investigation against Chapel Hill-Carrboro Schools will take place on December 10th. As a sneak peak, we discovered that CHCCS taught students that lynchings still happen in America. Should this political indoctrination be in our schools? #ncpol

Parents have the right to opt their kids out of lessons filled with radical gender ideology.
But this NC school board is choosing politics and woke agendas instead.
This is unacceptable.

BREAKING: George Griffin, the @CHCCS board president, BRAGS about how his school district is DEFYING state law and refusing to comply with North Carolina’s Parent Rights Bill, calling the bill “discriminatory.” The Bill, SB 49, guarantees parents the right to opt out of gender ideology propaganda lessons, allows parents to review school textbooks, and gives parents access to their child’s records. This board wants to be able to hide critical information from parents and prevent them from vetting school curriculums. This must be investigated @MoGreenNCDPI @ncpublicschools @usedgov @NCAGO

According to Chapel Hill and Carrboro’s School Board, state law doesn’t apply to them. All I have to say is…George Griffin and CHCCS, be ready to testify before the House to explain why you think you can openly defy state law. #ncpol

@BetsyDeVos Then pass universal school choice. It’s simple, if a state already has a program, the federal dollars are sent to that state to add to the amount already funded by the state’s per pupil funds. If a state doesn’t have a program they don’t get those funds.

Today's Nation's Report Card results aren't just bad. They're the worst ever. Time is up for the status quo. EVERY family must be able to pick the best educational option for their child so that EVERY child in America has a true opportunity to succeed.
