I'm telling you now that the US started the war. Initially, the strait belonged to Iran, and there was NO BLOCKADE. And now there's a "Trump blockade" there, and they're seizing IRANIAN ships trying to "BREAK THROUGH" THEIR OWN STRAIT. What nonsense is this?!

@FoxNews If they plant bombs or kill a large number of troops doing this skulldoggery bs then they need lit up. Im tired of seeing our troops putnin harms way because they think the Strait belongs to them.

The loser of the match against Awonder donates 10k to the Winner’s choice. The match is far from over, but what charities would you recommend? I know Gift of Chess , Chess in the Slums, and Chess in the Schools do amazing work.

So I finished the tournament with 6 / 9. I've been living out of my suitcase for almost 3 weeks, and I played in 3 tournaments. I became an IM-elect on this trip, and also High School National Champion. So I think the trip was a success. Tomorrow, I'm going home. 🏡

I played a GM in round 9 of the Atlantic City Open. I lost. Below I took gxf4, which is losing after exf4. He's threatening Rc6, and if I try to stop this with Rd6 then Rc8+ Kg7 Nc4 wins material. I had to play g4. So now if Rc6 h5 Rxe6 Ne4 I have good counterplay against g3.

@atwell_rose Maybe your brain is tired. You deserve a break. You are doing so well overall but sometimes its good to take that much needed break. Just a thought. Always rooting for you!

Instead I should play Nxc4 and enter the endgame after Qxd2 Rxd2 b5 Nb6. I did not think white had sufficient winning chances after Rad8, but it was objectively best. I think I was calculating better last week than I am this week. I'm not sure why.

I played a WIM in round 5 of the Atlantic City Open. We got a draw. Below I played Qb4. Now I am worse after she plays Qe8. I missed after Qxb6 Bxg2 Kxg2 she has Nd5, when Rxd5 fails to Qe4+. So I have to play Qc5, but after Nxe3+ Qxe3 Qc6+ Qf3 the endgame is better for black.

@HansMokeNiemann Because Hikaru has always been a hot headed, quick to react guy. He will hardly ever admit he is wrong about something.

Historically, Hikaru Nakamura has made numerous public accusations against other players without consistently providing strong evidence or facing meaningful accountability. Now that stricter anti-cheating measures are being implemented, he appears to object to them. If he genuinely believes that over-the-board cheating is so difficult, it raises questions about why he made such serious allegations during events like the Sinquefield Cup.
Endgame AI@EndgameaiChess

🇺🇸 Hikaru Nakamura criticizes anti-cheating measures at the Candidates. Speaking live on Kick with Jon Ludvig Hammer and Fiona Steil-Antoni, Nakamura called the security protocols “nonsense,” arguing they’ve gone too far. Players are scanned before and after games, with strict controls and multiple checks in place. “At some point you have to ask… who are we? Mossad agents in Iran or what? We’re just chess players.” He added that he hasn’t raised it with FIDE, saying he doesn’t see the point, and believes concerns about cheating at such a tightly controlled event are being exaggerated.

Now I'm in Atlantic City! I'm here for the 9-round CCA tournament that starts tonight. This is the 3rd and final tournament on my trip to the eastern US (Charlotte ➡️ Chicago ➡️Atlantic City). The first 2 went pretty well so hopefully this one can too. Windy beach 🌊🐚 -

I just played an IM in the last round of High School Nationals. And I won! I was black, and I played the French, and I got in trouble in the early middlegame. However, he was inaccurate and I was eventually able to equalize. And then, in time trouble...
