Since President Donald J. Trump is trending, this is a friendly reminder of who it is that people are supporting. Donald Trump was how old when he lashed out at @MTG and @RepThomasMassie because of their stance on the Epstein Files being released?

@MarissaMeleske Just to be clear… He turned on MTG when she would not meet his request on the Epstein files. Going after some and not all seems to be a disconnect. Also, some of us could not support this.

Do not try to tell me President Donald J Trump hasn’t done anything against child traffickers
Bo Loudon@BoLoudon

The REAL REASON they hate President Trump is because he's ending what they cherish most - CHILD TRAFFICKING! I proudly cast my first ever vote for Trump at 18 in 2024 and don't regret it ONE BIT. I just compiled this complete list of actions Trump has taken against child trafficking as President: - Feb 9, 2017: Trump signed Executive Order to prevent international human trafficking. - Apr 11, 2018: Trump signed FOSTA to hold websites accountable for online sex trafficking. - Dec 21, 2018: Trump signed Abolish Human Trafficking Act to protect survivors. - Jan 9, 2019: Trump signed Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act authorizing $430M against trafficking. - Aug 4, 2020: Trump allocated $35M for safe housing for trafficking victims. - Jul 4, 2020: Melania Trump wore an Alexander McQueen dress with sketches by child sexual abuse victims for awareness. - Oct 20, 2020: DHS launched a new center to fight trafficking. - May 19, 2025: Trump signed TAKE IT DOWN Act to force platforms to remove deepfakes of children within 48 hours. - Nov 19, 2025: Trump signed Epstein Files Transparency Act to release millions of Epstein documents. - Jan 23, 2026: Trump signed Trafficking Survivors Relief Act to let victims vacate convictions and expunge records. - Apr 9, 2026: Melania Trump called for Congress to hold public hearings for Epstein victims to testify under oath. - 2025–2026 (ongoing): Trump continues to locate thousands of missing children and disrupted trafficking networks. Peter was inducted as a solo artist into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on this day 12 years ago. "Watch out for music. It should come with a health warning. It can be dangerous. It can make you feel so alive, so connected to the people all around you, and connected to what you really are inside, and it can make you think that the world should and could be a much better place. And just occasionally it can make you very, very happy."

@Leehud0862 And Trump isn’t? lol She at least signed the bill to have the files released, which is why he turned on her. The fact that he turned on her like he did because of this move is the point. Speaks volumes. And she heard it. Sad that others don’t hear & see the fullness of truth.

Tulips were cultivated in the Ottoman Empire long before they reached Europe. Their name is thought to derive from the Turkish tülbent, a turban cloth, the flower’s form resembling its folds. In the 17th century, they sparked the famous Dutch “Tulip Mania”.

On this day in 1865, Robert E. Lee surrendered to Ulysses S. Grant. Lee showed up dressed in his best, looking like a dignified gentleman. Grant was covered in mud after riding all morning. Before anything was signed, the two men spoke about their shared service in the Mexican War -- a reminder that Confederates and Union soldiers were nonetheless countrymen tied by mystic chords of memory. Grant did not create terms of surrender to humiliate the South. Grant and Lincoln understood that to unify the nation, you could not imprison half of it. Confederates were allowed to keep their sidearms and personal horses. When Grant learned that Lee's men were quite literally starving after having not eaten for days, he ordered 25,000 rations sent to them immediately. Lee said this would have "a very happy effect" on his men. When Lee rode away after signing terms of surrender, Union soldiers cheered. Grant forced them to stop, reminding Union soldiers that Confederates were "now our countrymen" and there would be no cheering over their downfall. (In fact, days later when actual ceremonial surrender occurred, Union Gen. Josh Chamberlain reportedly ordered his men to salute passing Confederates as a sign of respect) Lee also worked diligently to stop Confederates from waging guerrilla warfare, encouraging them to set their arms aside and return home and in peace. He was a titan in his own right. If the spirit of 1865 had been driven by the urge to shame and punish, the Union would not have lasted. So many people today misunderstand that and as such, they try to rewrite America history. God Bless America.

@histories_arch Some people chase attention. Sabrina González Pasterski chased understanding. Getting recognized by Stephen Hawking at 25 is wild, but what stands out more is the discipline—no noise, just depth. She didn’t try to fit into the system, she made the system adjust to her.

A 16-year-old Latina girl from Chicago mailed her application to MIT. Her name was Sabrina González Pasterski.... On merit alone, she should have been impossible to ignore. At 14, she had built a working single-engine airplane in her family’s garage—documenting every step, from assembly to flight. She passed inspection and flew it herself. She came from public schools, a first-generation Cuban-American with no elite pipeline or connections. She understood the unspoken rule: girls like her had to be exceptional just to be considered. She was. MIT still waitlisted her. It hit hard. MIT had been the goal she built everything around. Being told “not yet” felt like being told “not you.” But then two MIT professors came across her airplane video. They watched a teenager design, build, and fly her own aircraft—and immediately recognized something rare. They pushed her case forward. MIT reconsidered. She got in. She didn’t forget that moment. Instead, she used it as fuel. At MIT, she didn’t just succeed—she redefined what success looked like. She became the first woman to win the prestigious Orloff Scholarship, graduated in just three years with a perfect 5.00 GPA, and became the first woman in two decades to graduate at the top of MIT Physics. Her research moved just as fast. Her first paper was accepted within 24 hours—something almost unheard of in theoretical physics. Opportunities followed. NASA showed interest. Jeff Bezos personally offered her a role at Blue Origin. She declined. She chose to pursue deeper questions instead, heading to Harvard for a PhD in physics. There, she focused on black holes, quantum gravity, and the structure of spacetime. At just 25, her work was cited by Stephen Hawking—a rare acknowledgment from one of the most respected minds in science. But her story isn’t just about intelligence. It’s about navigating a space where people like her are often underrepresented. She had seen the imbalance early—few girls in advanced physics, even fewer from her background. Instead of stepping back, she stepped forward. She kept her focus narrow and intentional. No social media presence, no distractions—just her work. She maintained a simple website, sharing research rather than chasing attention. When people compared her to Einstein, she rejected it, insisting she was still learning. After completing her PhD, again with top performance, she continued her work at leading research institutions. Today, she contributes to some of the most complex problems in physics, exploring how the universe fundamentally works. And as she does, she quietly expands what feels possible for others. Sabrina González Pasterski’s story isn’t just about brilliance. It’s about persistence, identity, and refusing to shrink to fit expectations. MIT hesitated. She gave them a second chance to see clearly. And then she went on to prove exactly who she was. © Women Stories #archaeohistories
