My latest camera adventure is that yesterday an 85 year old friend gifted me his Olympus OM-1 so that I could fix it. It has an unshot roll preloaded and from the outside seems to be in excellent condition, except the battery which probably hasn't been replaced in a decade.

Rehearsal is playing something over and over to make sure you can't get it wrong for performance ... it's totally different from practise which is what you do to acquaint yourself closer with your instrument and music in general ... practise is closer to kids playing.

If you don't think your music is going anywhere on your instrument ... just set aside an hour every few days to fuck about on it empty headed and with no goals set to achieve. You'll be amazed at the things you'll come up with if you actually follow those rules.

@BeschlossDC Yes. 13, in Chicago - a prime target, glued to the TV, expecting imminent mushroom clouds. The news anchors - Cronkite, Huntley/Brinkley, etc. ) conveyed terrifying news, but with reassuring calm. Hard to imagine that happening in today's raging media environment.
