A @McDonalds in Sycamore, IL, has been closed for 2 months for a remodel 🤔. We now find out it was a “McDonald’s Next” remodel. It could be the first in the world. The stools 😍

@DonnieLakota @McFranchisee Part of McDonald’s strategy is to build more stores with lower AUV, which keeps total wait time down. CFA is faster per car (that’s in the study), but your overall wait will be lower in a McD’s line.

Chick-fil-A has 37 cars in line with a wait time of just 1 minute 54 seconds. The workers make it rain condiments on me and treat me like I’m their favorite cousin. Meanwhile, McDonald’s has 2 and a 1/2 cars in line with a wait time of eternity. The workers make it seem like their condiments are bricks of gold and treat me like I’m the stepdad they blame for their parents’ divorce.

From my viewpoint, it’s the opposite. You’ll sit in Chick-fil-A drive-thru for 15 minutes while McDonald’s takes me three minutes.
To be even more specific, we make your food at the end of your order, with Chick-fil-A, almost every single item is premade waiting for you to order it. We operated this way until 1999.
