Built on Bitcoin Core. Secured with post-quantum cryptography. That’s the @tidecoin approach.

Tidecoin lore hits different now. In 2020, the idea was simple: When the quantum threat became real, there should already be a Bitcoin-like supply of quantum-resistant coins in the wild. Not launched after the panic. Not migrated during the panic. Already mined. BTC: ~20M issued. TDC: ~18.8M issued. The clock was the thesis.

Falcon is the quiet part of post-quantum crypto. Not the loudest signature scheme. The compact one. Falcon-512: 666-byte signatures. NTRU lattices. NIST-selected. Built for chains where every byte lives forever. Most blockchains still need a migration story. Tidecoin doesn’t. Genesis: December 27, 2020. Falcon from block zero.

The only cryptocurrencies with A REAL USE CASE will survive. These are the best I've found: $XMR - used religiously on the dark web, world's best digital cash $QRL is a completely safe hedge against quantum in all financial realms. Everything else has an expiration date.

🚨IS $ALGO THE ONLY OPTION?🚨 The @AlgoFoundation posted another Quantum computing report claiming most chains aren’t ready! If QC will take over everything other than QC resistant chains, and @Algorand is the only Quantum resistant chain surely $ALGO is the one & only option?

When quantum computers break the encryption protecting most blockchains, which networks survive? $ALGO already answered that question👀 Algorand is the first blockchain to execute a quantum-safe transaction on mainnet using NIST-selected Falcon cryptography. The standard the U.S. government picked to protect national security data against quantum threats. Most chains rely on Elliptic Curve Cryptography. ECC protects your keys, your transactions, your entire on-chain history. Quantum computers will eventually crack it. When that day comes, every chain running ECC is exposed retroactively. Algorand's State Proofs have been securing historical chain data with Falcon signatures since 2022. In 2025, they went further. First quantum-safe transaction on a live mainnet. Real assets. Real protection. Banks, governments, and institutions evaluating blockchain infrastructure for the next 20 years will ask one question above all others: is it quantum-resistant? $ALGO can say yes today. Most chains can't even say they're working on it.

WHERE ARE THE $ALGO HOLDERS WHEN IT ACTUALLY GETS INTERESTING? 👇 ALGO is sitting around $0.12 and roughly 96.7% below its all-time high. I understand why that scares people. But Algorand did not stop building just because the chart got ugly. Algorand still points to 10,000 TPS, instant finality, Pure Proof-of-Stake, and real lanes in tokenization, DeFi, payments, interoperability, and data traceability For me? that still reads like one of the cleaner utility setups in this range. Are you holding some $ALGO?

Tidecoin genesis: December 27, 2020. Coinbase message literally quoted the first photonic quantum supremacy paper: Jiuzhang. Not a roadmap. A timestamp. About 1 in 3 BTC is already sitting behind exposed public keys. Post-quantum addresses don’t save a chain retroactively. Old coins still have to migrate. Harvest today. Decrypt tomorrow. Tidecoin started on the other side.

Falcon (FN-DSA, FIPS 206) is one of the post-quantum signature schemes NIST is standardising. It uses floating point arithmetic during signing. ML-DSA and SLH-DSA do not. A few things you can run right now in any JavaScript console: 0.1 + 0.2 returns 0.30000000000000004. Not 0.3. The numbers being added are not the numbers you wrote down. They are the closest 64-bit approximations, because most decimal fractions cannot be stored exactly in binary. Math.tan(1e16) returns -1.2451734357184066 in Node and -1.245173435718406 in Safari. Same input, different output. IEEE 754 does not require bit-exact results for functions like tan, sin, log, or exp. Each library and chip approximates them differently. (0.1 * 0.2) * 0.3 returns 0.006000000000000001 whereas 0.1 * (0.2 * 0.3) returns 0.006. The associative law from school does not hold. The compiler is free to pick either order. Falcon's signing process calls functions like these on values that depend on the secret key. The same key signing the same message in two browsers can produce two different signatures. Both verify correctly, because the verifier does not redo the sampling, but the signatures are not reproducible across platforms. A Falcon library that is correct and safe on a Linux server is not automatically correct or safe in Safari on an iPhone. ML-DSA uses integer arithmetic throughout. For new deployments it is the safer default. Falcon may be appropriate when signature size matters enough to justify validating floating point behaviour on every target platform. Full post below.

While @solana just chose Falcon for post-quantum security… Tidecoin has been running Falcon 512 natively from genesis since Dec 27, 2020. ✅ 5+ years live ✅ 2.3M+ blocks secured ✅ Zero incidents ✅ Smallest PK+sig (~1,563 bytes) ✅ NIST Category 1 quantum resistance

Solana moving toward Falcon is a useful PQ migration data point. PQ signatures are not one-size-fits-all. For Solana, small signatures and simple on-chain verification matter for TPS. Falcon fits that profile well compared to other options. The tradeoff is signer complexity. Falcon signing is more complex and demanding, including its use of floating point arithmetic. Different chains will likely choose different PQ schemes because their bottlenecks are different.

Solana has publicly aligned on Falcon (also known as FN-DSA) as its preferred post-quantum lattice based digital signature scheme. • Anza and Jump Crypto’s Firedancer conducted independent research and both converged on Falcon. • They’ve already built early implementations (available on their GitHub repos). • Solana Foundation blog post: “Quantum is still years away… but there is a clear, well-researched plan.” Why Falcon? Falcon is a lattice-based scheme selected by NIST for post-quantum cryptography. It stands out for high-throughput blockchains like Solana because it offers relatively compact signatures compared to alternatives like Dilithium.

MOST PEOPLE ARE STILL JUDGING $ALGO OFF PRICE WHILE COINBASE’S REPORT IS TALKING ABOUT QUANTUM READINESS. 😳👇 The Coinbase paper highlights Algorand as an early mover on post-quantum deployment, with PQ signature schemes already live across state proofs and the execution layer. It also notes the network recently ran its first FN-DSA post-quantum transaction on mainnet. Important nuance: The paper says some core consensus functions still rely on classical cryptography, and Algorand is actively researching the next steps. Open your eyes. The signal is in the tech, not the chart.

🚨QUANTUM COMPUTING =$620B+ OPPORTUNITY Everyone speaks on how QC could ruin crypto but McKinsey make another point. They estimate QC could add $620B+ to financial services by 2035 as protection against will be needed. & Prepared chains like $ALGO & $HBAR could benefit most🚀
