Can I be honest? I’ve worked remotely for about five years now. I am old enough to remember desiring to go into the office for work. To interact with the “old” people to love them and learn from them. I’m old enough to remember wanting to clock hours at my desk doing good work that genuinely benefitted families. I missed a lot of my oldest daughter’s life when she was young. Then my wife and I lost two babies right in a row. We never told her about those losses. They were both late losses. One was from what I genuinely consider medical malpractice (lawyers told me they couldn’t profit from our case) and the other was just bad luck. I love both of those babies very dearly and wish I could know them and have them now. But, I can’t. I want to connect with people who remember what it’s like to work hard and have pride in your work. I also want to connect with people who love Jesus and trust in Him and find comfort in His promises and care for us. I want to connect with people who love the Vols (not a requirement) and love family more than they love status in society. This is absolutely a bit of a word salad… I apologize. I love real interaction with honest people and I miss that about working in office. Jesus loves you and I do, too. I’m the farthest man from perfect. I’d just love to be able to interact with folks who know what I’m talking about. Stay warm. This snowstorm is going to be brutal for a lot of people.
