@RobDauster Fouls is 11-4. They have 11 points from free throws. Just ridiculous that Jae’s breeding gets this game.

You have to bring the starters in with two fouls now. This game can get away from you in the next 2:24. Put them in now.

Tarris Reed picks up his second foul on an illegal screen. Three UConn players now with two fouls.

UConn missing chances on two runouts could end up being absolutely killer. Those were the chances to put this thing to bed. They've missed four opportunities to get layups in transition like that.

Solo went for a very tough layup there and missed. Wish he just pulled it back and reset to waste some clock.

Crunch time. Illini within four (57-53). Chipping their way back in it on a steady parade to FT line. Foul issues a problem for UConn.

Eight straight Illini free throws over a 3 minute scoring drought for UConn have brought the game within six. Illinois is 11-of-12 from the stripe in the second half. Huskies lead 57-51 with 6:08 to play.

Third foul on Mullins. Huskies lead 47-36. Illini can't build any momentum, despite massively pro-Illinois crowd.

@TCN819 @StockTalks21 Yes! Ref most likely telling him they are checking the clock as they changed it to .4. Video makes it look much worse then it is and Hurley haters will use that to go full force.

@StockTalks21 Ref is clearly talking and Hurley leans in to hear him. That is why ref had 0 reaction. Hurley was also in psycho blackout Hurley mode so I understand why people think he was trying to intimidate

Indianapolis native Braylon Mullins mentions that the Final Four came up on his recruiting visit to UConn: "When I was recruited that was the pitch... 'We're gonna take you to Indy' ... that was kind of the wrap up moment on my official visit"

Twenty years since UConn was in this very building in the Elite Eight against a very, very different program. Needed a 3 vs. George Mason. What's happening this time?

UConn switched Tarris Reed onto Cam Boozer on the last defensive possession. Duke responded by throwing it right to Patrick Ngongba on the block. He scored through Alex Karaban. UConn just having so much trouble dealing with Duke's two-big setup.

16-10 Duke at the first media timeout. Duke getting what they want on offense right now, but not exactly a masterclass defensively for either team. 0-for-3 start from deep is not ideal for UConn

Michigan State takes the lead, and UConn immediately answers by going to Alex Karaban (assist to Reed), Reed in the post and then running a pindown for Karaban's three, and they grab the lead back.

You knew Sparty wasn’t going away. Michigan State’s defense at the rim a huge factor early this half. Carr and Cooper with a couple of key blocks, Demary and Reed both missed a shot at the rim. Combine that with Karaban missing a couple of wide open looks on the wing, and that’s the anatomy of a comeback.

At the half: UConn 35, Michigan State 27. Huskies led by 19 early on. But a few careless turnovers at end of half, coupled with Spartans making some shots, and here we are. UConn is also 1-for-5 from FT line, which doesn't help matters.
